"We are guests at the Sails in the Desert 🏜 Hotel. This restaurant was our "go-to" place while staying at the hotel. This wonderful restaurant is located inside the hotel premises. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Aboriginal motifs around the restaurant whichelevate the atmosphere making it inviting and welcoming environment. This restaurant is packed with a variety of locally sourced tasty produce and native ingredients. It is a great place to tucked into the culture in the Territory and savour a diverse range of Indigenous inspired cuisine. Standouts include the freshest oysters, mussels and the best cooked meals. Customer service at this restaurant is unmatched - with efficient and very attentive staff. Please allow me to specially mention "Shanae" who looked after us on our first visit to this restaurant. Thank you to the whole team for your commitment and making

Moreover, there is a wide range of international dishes that are also available on offer. This restaurant definitely showcased delicious tasty dishes with an emphasis on the freshest, flavour filled ingredients in all of their dishes. This restaurant is popular amongst the tourists and pretty lucky to get a booking .
Definitely not to be missed when visiting this wonderful place Uluru - even for walk-in customers. We had the dinner buffet . "For a 5 star hotel, the breakfast is what I'd expect at an Ibis Hotel, which isn't a bad thing. Just not at the 5 star level for a buffet breakfast. I get we're in a remote area but for $49 I'd explore seasoned food and higher elevations in food. North worth the cost but you also have nowhere else to go for food in the area since the resort is the only option."

5 Things We Learnt While Staying At Voyages Ayers Rock Resort
From day one, we realised that the alcohol restrictions here were rather different to New South Wales. During our time here we also learnt that if you had an opened bottle of wine at a hotel restaurant, you were allowed to take the unfinished bottle with you to your hotel room; only if it’s within the same hotel. For example, on our last night at Yulara we asked if it would be possible to take wine left from dinner at the Ilkari restaurant at Sails in the Desert – back to Desert Gardens Hotel.

Sharpen the elbows, this is one food experience that's worth edging your way to the front of the queue. This huge, multi-tiered fountain of lush and glorious chocolaty goodness is part of the hotel restaurant's large buffet offering. There's the nominal matching of fruit on skewers to dip into it, but let's face it, you're going to get in touch with your inner kid and go straight for the sweets and, erm, more chocolate.

There were a lot of options and at the time I was there the beans, mushrooms and hash browns were all vegan. Then toasts, fruit, nuts, cereals, and a few options of plant-based milks.
