Reviews Summary

LUPA offers a sophisticated fine-dining experience with a stunning ambiance, exceptional service, and creative European cuisine. Diners rave about the unique cocktails and standout dishes like the crispy duck and Greek mini pies, making it ideal for special occasions. However, some find the portion sizes small and certain dishes may not meet high expectations.

"Absolutely loved dining at Lupa! This modern European restaurant delivers a true 5-star experience from start to finish. The cocktails were outstanding—crafted with creativity and balance, easily some of the best I’ve had in a long time.

The pasta was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the pie was just incredible—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. While the vegetarian options are a bit limited, what they do offer is high quality and thoughtfully prepared.

Stylish atmosphere, attentive service, and unforgettable food. Highly recommend for a special night out!"

LUPA is a stunning fine-dining experience tucked right next to the MG Road metro station. You wouldn’t guess what awaits you from the outside—but step in, and you’re instantly transported. With its beautifully designed courtyard (complete with a central water fountain), stylish indoor seating, and a cozy mezzanine for private celebrations, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to—especially for a special day.

The atmosphere is sophisticated yet warm, and the service absolutely lives up to the setting. The staff were prompt, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable—guiding us through the expansive menu and suggesting some exceptional dishes and drinks. They even changed our plates and cutlery after every dish—such attention to detail!

Appetizers

- Greek Mini Pies: These came piping hot and fresh, with flaky pastry and a beautiful filling of zucchini, feta, dill, and parsley. Paired with the orange-fennel marmalade and cashew tahini, it was a bite of Greece done right.

- Eggplant Speducci: Surprisingly the star of the evening. Miso and chimichurri together on tender eggplant, topped with almond crumble—unlike anything we’ve tasted.

Main Course

- Pressed Half Brick Chicken: Crispy, juicy, and so flavourful. The creamed mushrooms and crispy Tuscan potatoes on the side were perfection—honestly, the sides were good enough to be mains!

- Wood-fired Chermoula Cauliflower: This was probably the only dish we didn’t enjoy as much—it felt a bit overdone with too many elements, though the pita was great.

Dessert

Key Lime Tart: Intricately made, beautifully presented, though a bit too tangy for our taste. Would have preferred a slightly more balanced tartness.

Drinks (A must-try if you're into creative cocktails!)

Trastevere: Truffle-infused gin with parmesan vermouth? Bold but brilliant.

Okinawa Summer: Light, citrusy, with a sweet twist. Refreshing.

Curry & Smoke: A standout—curry leaf in a drink? Surprisingly aromatic and smooth.

PB&J: Peanut butter bourbon and raspberry—unexpected but works so well, and even comes topped with a PB treat shaped like a peanut.

The St. Germain: A more classic blend—floral and pleasant but didn’t stand out.

Black Mirror: Dessert in a glass—cacao, coconut, cold brew and a nitro dalgona float. Bold and delicious.

Price Point:
Yes, it’s expensive—cocktails are around ₹1200 and most dishes ₹600+. But for a special occasion, the quality, service, and overall experience really justify the price.

If you're looking for a place to celebrate or simply want to treat yourself to one of India’s best culinary experiences, LUPA is well worth the splurge."

"An amazing place, went there to celebrate my bday so had to choose some place fancy, and this didn’t disappoint at all, everything from the service to the ambience and the food were all top notch! The portions sizes were pretty big too! And me and my family had a wonderful experience trying out the oysters, lamb, steaks, crispy pork, and the wonderfully curated cocktails! A MUST VISIT!!!"

11 romantic restaurants in Bengaluru for the perfect Valentine’s Day

With an impressive 11,000 sqft space designed like an Italian villa, Lupa is probably one of the more obvious contenders for Bengaluru’s most romantic restaurants. There are many romantic draws to this place—round glass panels and wrought iron grill work à la Capri, custom-made curved terracotta roof tiles and vases inspired by Tuscany, a warm outdoor section where you can be soothed by water fountains that drown out the traffic outside, and an opulent, high-ceiling indoor dining area. The stellar menu designed by chef Manu Chandra weaves classic European flavours with contemporary flair, featuring tapas-style bar bites and in-house cured meats.

The Best Bars To Explore Bangalore's Cocktail Scene

We only had good things to say about Manu Chandra's Lupa when we visited the space during the launch. The Lupa-tini and the Notorious F.I.G. are what we enjoyed (we couldn't find them on the menu anymore) but luckily Geetanjali and Ila have you covered. Geetanjali's go-to has been the Paloma, the tequila-based cocktail which features her favourite combination of sweet, sour, and salty notes.

Manu Chandra's first solo restaurant venture takes its name from La Lupa (the legendary she-wolf) of Roman mythology. It's designed to recreate the warmth and casual vibe of a classic Italian trattoria. We appreciate the gelato bar and the salumeria (the small plates bar) that serves cold cuts.
