Reviews Summary

Hotel Nayaab is celebrated for its authentic Hyderabadi flavors, particularly its legendary Nihari, Paya, and Mutton Biryani. Diners praise the soulful, flavorful dishes and the budget-friendly prices. While the ambiance is humble and the place can get crowded, the efficient service and the unique taste of traditional cuisine make it a must-visit spot for food lovers.

"Today morning I visited to this place for eating breakfast. I ordered paya Nihari sheermal roti, Bheja fry and tandoori roti. Food quality is good and ample portion theye were provided. Recommended place to eat. My total bill was ₹365 and it was very reasonable. Must visit if you come to Charminar."

"Okay, so Nayaab Hotel is the spot everyone kept recommending for their legendary Nihari and guess what? We went there twice and still couldn’t get it 😅. Apparently, the Nihari is such a hot favourite that it’s usually gone before 9 am. They do bring it back at 5 pm, but sadly that didn’t match our schedule. Pro tip: if you’re visiting purely for Nihari, set an alarm and get there early!

But hey, we didn’t leave empty-stomached. On Day 1, we tried the bheja fry with naan and rumali roti ; absolutely delicious. The texture, the spice, everything worked perfectly. Then came the bhuna mutton tawa masala, which honestly stole the show. The mutton was melt-in-the-mouth soft, masaledar in the best way possible. Easily a must-try. We also tasted their dum ka roat (which was just okay for me, nothing mind-blowing) and ended with a classic Irani chai : loved it. That chai just tied the whole experience together.

On Day 2, we gave their chicken masala with naan a go. Flavour was there, but the oil floating on top was a bit too much for my liking.

Overall though, Nayaab feels like a proper Hyderabad experience. It’s budget-friendly, the food is soulful, and you won’t walk out disappointed. What I also loved they have a separate family section. If you’re a solo female traveller or even going as a couple, they automatically shift you there, away from the crowded main hall. Honestly, this small gesture felt really thoughtful and made me super comfortable. Big thumbs up for that.

So yeah, while I still need to go back to finally conquer their Nihari, everything else we tried was solid. A well-deserved 4/5 from me!"

"Absolutely loved the food! It's truly a paradise for non-vegetarian lovers, especially with their mutton dishes, which are nothing short of delicacies. The place is heavily crowded, a clear sign of its popularity, and you can always expect fresh, flavorful food. However, it's better to avoid coming by car, as parking can be quite challenging."

Known as one of the first Irani cafes in Hyderabad to have sold Haleem commercially, Hotel Nayaab is one of the must-visit places to go when you're around Charminar, especially for early morning breakfast (we're talking as early as 5 AM.) You've got to try their Nihari served with sheermal or tandoori roti. For a heavier meal, you can also try the famous Hyderabadi breakfast Khichdi-Khatta-Keema here. For vegetarians, Nayaab whips a phenomenal version of Paneer Butter Masala (topped with green chilli, which is very spicy) that you can savour with butter naan.

**We had a hearty traditional Nizam breakfast at Nayaab, one of the oldest restaurants in the city. There is nothing spectacular about its interiors- rectangular wooden benches and tables crammed inside a tiny restaurant. Though it was early morning, our appetite was already galvanized by the aroma of Malai mutton Paya bubbling in an aluminum cauldron at the restaurant entrance.
