"A must-visit gem in Kodai! go with an open heart and an empty stomach!
Run by the sweetest akkas who serve with ninja speed and a big smile, this place feels like a local treasure.

Don’t leave without trying:
• Cream Bun
• Belgian Cookies
• Black Forest Cake
• Brownies
• Plum Ice Cream
• Hot Chocolate (comfort in a cup)

This little shop will leave your heart (and belly) full. 💛"

"This is a pastry shop for buy and go as there is no seating arrangements. On Satuardays and Sundays when there are lots of Tourists you need to stand in line for getting into the shop. Their pastries, tarts, sandwich, pizza are made without any preservatives and need to be eaten in around 2 hours time. The food is very very reasonable and pretty tasty. that could be the reason for the crowd. Their cup cakes are good too and they last around 3 days. If you buying a lot of pastries the managers warn you to eat it before 2 hours which is a good thing. This is one of the experiences travellers should have on a kodaikanal visit, standing in queue on a Satuarday or Sunday at Daily Bread Pastry corner"

"Hype was heavy for this!

This shop will be opened for 2 times in a day for 1-2 hours, morning 10 and evening 3.
Im not sure if it's worth the hype.
We didn't get the cream bun.
Brownie was excellent 👌🏿. Other items were good, not that extraordinary.
The whole vibe was good. There is heavy rush everyday. Icecream was also nice, the butterscotch one.
Overall it's a one time place I felt. But I'll go again for brownies maybe😬😬"

A complete guide to Kodaikanal, the ‘Princess of Hills’

Join the hordes of locals and tourists outside Daily Bread Pastry Corner (Bazaar Road/Anna Salai) clamouring for white bread chutney or egg sandwiches, old-school pastries, cream buns, and ice creams, along with milky, sweet filter coffee. If you’re hankering after an espresso, head to The Pulney Hills Café for a strong cuppa along with a slice of homemade cake, or to Ten Degrees, which also does an excellent coconut mousse (both on PT Road). A few doors down from the cafés, The Royal Tibet—or Tibs as the locals call it—is an old-school restaurant known for its steaming hot thukpas and momos.

A Kodaikanal institution, Pastry Corner’s affordable range of cakes, ice creams, snacks, and sweet treats has garnered quite a few loyal fans. Which is why you might find many of their offerings to have sold out before you get to make your pick. If you’re not in the mood to squeeze into the handful of benches that can be found around the bakery, you can takeaway their packets filled with muffins, vegetarian sandwiches, rum balls, croissants, and cakes {their pear and black forest ones are very popular}.
