$0.12 Market Stall in Delhi, India 🇮🇳 I visited Meena Bazar AKA Chor Bazaar (Thieves Market) in old Delhi. I found this market stall selling all sorts of toys and random items for just 10 rupees, which is 12 cents American or 10 pence British. #India #Delhi #NewDelhi #Travel #SoloTravel #BudgetTravel

Bargaining for a Doraemon in Old Delhi, India 🇮🇳 I visited Meena Bazar, AKA Chor Bazaar (Thieves Market) in old Delhi. There were vendors selling the most random items, but none more random than a wind-up Doraemon playing the drums. I had to buy it! #India #Delhi #NewDelhi #Travel #SoloTravel #Desi #TravelAdvice #BudgetTravel #TravelVlog #TravelSafety

Reviews Summary

Chor Bizarre is praised for its authentic Kashmiri cuisine and unique, antique-filled ambiance that transports diners to another era. While many laud the impeccable hospitality and delightful food quality, some find the prices to be a bit high considering the taste and quantity of certain dishes.

"This place is an absolute comfort place. I have been here twice both the time it was for a pop up food festival and that’s what is special about this place every month they have at least 1 to 2 exclusive lunch dinner pop-up menu, bringing the food from the country on the platter.
I came for one for Megha and another one for Lucknow Awadhi cuisine and absolutely love the experience, the place is nice and has got a vintage vibe to it"

Arti Singh

"I love Kashmiri cuisine and Chor Bizzare (established in 1990) is definitely the best in the city to offer delectable dishes from the valley.
The service is exemplary, and the servers will assist you in what to and what not to order.
The portions they serve are okay for two people. The quality of the dishes, top notch.
Their bar is opening in few weeks and it is always a delight to visit this restaurant."

Anoop Kamath

"The Ambience is great, no doubt in that. The place takes you in a different era. The service is also great and the team is pretty helpful.
Although the food is quite expensive given the taste and quantity. Can be tried once but not sure about re- visiting the place."

Delhi's best-known Kashmiri restaurant is also one of its most beautiful, an art deco enclave with a tile floor, a spiral staircase leading nowhere, and antique furniture and mirrors from various chor ("thieves'") bazaars. Kashmiri food, which is milder than many Indian regional cuisines, is exemplified by mutton yakhni (in a sauce of yogurt, cardamom, and aniseed) and mutton mirchi korma (in cardamom and clove gravy).

Nestled in the crowded streets of Daryaganj lies Chor Bizarre, a themed restaurant set-up in the style of a thieves market. All the cutlery, furniture and general set-up of the place is intentionally inconsistent, to go with the theme, and honestly, it works quite well. Everything in this fabulously done up restaurant looks like it was stolen from someone, including the vintage car right in the middle of the restaurant, though we really hope that’s not the case.
