"We were traveling from Bangalore to Kerala by road and reached Salem around 11:30 AM. Chetan had visited this restaurant earlier and had a great experience, so we decided to dine at the same place.
Being the first customers of the day, the meals weren’t ready yet. However, we were informed that the biryani was almost prepared. After a short wait of 10–15 minutes, the biryani was served. Chetan opted for chicken fried rice instead.
The food was delicious, the service was exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere was beautiful—making it a perfect spot for a pit stop.
We’ll definitely visit again on our next trip!"

"The Rice Bowl Restaurant gives some great vibes and welcomes us wholeheartedly.
Service was good. However the waiter had to crosscheck everytime when we ordered that whether the requested food is available or not.
The food was average only as we have ordered biriyani, ghee rice and prawns roast. Doesn't felt that it is as much good as per what we are paying for.
The quantity of food is less.
Beverages were the satisfying part.
The outside atmosphere is good and hence we feel craved to go in and try the food there. But inside it's just an average restaurant only.
Overall an average restaurant which can be used a pitstop to have some overpriced, less quantity, average food."

"A couple of years ago, this restaurant was one of our go-to places. We used to look forward to dining here, especially for their delicious mutton biryani and squid fry both were fresh, flavorful, and worth the wait.
However, during my recent visit on July 14, 2025, the experience was completely different and quite disappointing. The quality of food has declined drastically. The biryani felt more like plain ghee rice served with reheated mutton curry . nowhere close to what it used to be. The squid dry fry, which used to be crispy and fresh, was rubbery and overcooked.
Cleanliness has also taken a major hit. The menu was sticky, the hand wash area was dirty, and even the sink and mirror were unclean. It’s hard to believe this is the same place that used to be so neat and well-maintained.
Overall, it’s disheartening to see a once-great restaurant drop so much in both quality and hygiene. Really hope they bring back the old standards."
