Reviews Summary

Mum's Kitchen is celebrated for its authentic Goan cuisine, with many praising the flavorful seafood and traditional home-style cooking. The serene garden ambiance provides a peaceful dining experience. However, some diners find the prices high relative to portion sizes, and a few have noted a distinct smell in the restaurant.

"Authentic Goan fish delicacy for not a hardcore non vegetarian, tastes are awesome, even veg lentil soup was yummy, Red bhaji too good . A nice restaurant for family group where few are only veg. Veg is also awesome."

Deepak Nashine

"We had a lovely dining experience at Mum’s Kitchen in Panjim. The food was absolutely delicious — the peri peri prawns were perfectly spiced and had just the right amount of kick, the crab fry was flavorful and fresh, and the chicken vindaloo had that rich, tangy heat you’d expect from a well-made Goan classic.

What made it even more special was the ambiance — we sat in the beautiful outside garden, surrounded by greenery and soft lighting. It created a peaceful and relaxing vibe that paired perfectly with the meal.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Goan cuisine in a serene setting"

Chittransh Sharma

"Excellent place with authentic Goa cuisines.

The whole place from the entry to the decor is very unique and earthen. It provides a very new experience for dining.

Service staff were excellent and helped to recommend the right food. The service and the whole dining experience was exceptional. Kudos to the staff.

There are limited vegetarian options but the food stays true to the Goan traditions.

Serradura is a highly recommended dessert for Mum’s Kitchen."

Its bland décor notwithstanding, this is the best restaurant to savour both Hindu Saraswat and Goan-Portuguese cuisines under one roof. The eclectic menu incorporates tribal recipes such as the kombdechem sukhem (spicy boneless chicken) and features classics such as shark ambotik, lobster reichado and pork sorpotel with steaming sannas (rice cakes with toddy). It’s rare to go wrong at Mum’s Kitchen.

Smack-dab in the middle of Panjim, this Goan institution is indisputably the best place in town for home-style Goan food---and as most of the regulars are locals, the kitchen doesn't hold back on the spice. The menu is vast and enticing, so either visit as part of a large group, or when absolutely ravenous (but yet able to wait for a table; the service is brisk so the wait shouldn't be too long).
