What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cafe Moktan is lauded for its exceptional coffee and enormous, delicious homemade pastries, with many highlighting the affordability and unique milk options. The cozy, boho atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment, though the small space means seating can be limited. Visitors highly recommend it as a must-try spot in Rishikesh.
"This is a small cafe with limited menu. However, everything that I have tried so far from the cappuccino to the golden milk (turmeric latte) , carrot ginger cup cake has been excellent. Bagsu cake is also very nice , however is heavy with a thick layer of chocolate. There is little space to sit , however that does allow people of different groups to interact with each other. 90% of the clientele is foreign tourists. The menu is budget friendly as can be seen from the pictures. You have option of jaggery powder apart from sugar. The cafe is 2 minutes walk from the main road in a Narrow lane not accessible by four wheelers. Even two wheelers won't be able to find parking outside the cafe. The nearest cat park is around 200 metres away. For me this place was a find for my daily cappuccino dose."

14 Drool-Worthy Restaurants & Cafes In Rishikesh, India
Cafe Moktan is an unassuming place that is essentially a hole-in-the-wall, but it’s one of the best cafes in Rishikesh. Not only do they serve some of the best *cheap* coffee I’ve had in India (if you’re wondering oat milk lattes ARE on the menu), but the homemade pastries here are absolutely divine and pretty much the size of your head. I was addicted to the cinnamon buns at this place.

This unassuming hole-in-the-wall cafe serves some of the best and most affordable coffee in Rishikesh. Its oat milk latte rivals those of fancy cafes charging twice the price. What will make you fall in love is that their homemade pastries are enormous in size and extraordinary in flavour.
Vegan Restaurant Guide Rishikesh Tapovan
At Moktan I always felt like in a small Italian espresso bar with Indian vibes. Here you can get the best and at the same time cheapest cappuccino in town (with Sojmilk only 120 rs / 1,35€). A masala chai with coconut or soy milk is available for 70 rs / 0,80€.
