Reviews Summary

Blue Lassi Shop is a highly popular spot, lauded for its incredible variety of unique and delicious lassis, served thick and creamy in traditional earthen pots. The shop's walls, covered in visitor photos, add to its unique and vibrant ambiance. However, some find the place overhyped, with limited space and occasionally inconsistent service or temperature, and a few suggest better lassi options may be available elsewhere in Varanasi.

"During my trip to Varanasi, one experience that truly stood out was tasting the lassi near Manikarnika Ghat — quite honestly, I have never had such delicious lassi in my life!

This tiny, bustling shop offers an incredible variety of lassis, many of them mixed with fresh fruits and unique syrups, creating flavors that are unbelievably tasty, rich, and creamy. Each sip feels like a dessert in itself — refreshing, satisfying, and utterly addictive.

The shop is located very close to Manikarnika Ghat, but do keep in mind that space is extremely limited — there’s barely enough room to stand properly, let alone sit comfortably. If you’re lucky, you might manage to grab a spot inside; otherwise, you’ll likely find yourself standing outside, soaking in the atmosphere as you enjoy your lassi.

No matter which flavor you choose, you really can’t go wrong — each one is better than the last and, in my opinion, far superior to the other lassis I tasted elsewhere in Varanasi. This place is truly a hidden gem and an absolute must-try for anyone visiting the city."

Anant Naik

"If you're a Lassi lover like me, you owe it to yourself to try this blue lassi shop. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I highly recommend this Lassi shop to anyone looking for a refreshing and delicious drink. The ambiance is unique and cozy, the staff is friendly, and the Lassi is top-notch. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or tangy, this shop has got you covered. The Lassi is made with high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the freshness and authenticity in every sip. The flavors are well-balanced, and the sweetness level is just right."

"The blue lassi shop is in the street of kachauri gali , on the way to manikarnika ghat.

The shop is located very close to Manikarnika Ghat, but do keep in mind that space is extremely limited — there’s barely enough room to stand properly,
Though seating facilities are there , which is very limited.
As I heard they offer many varieties of lassi but currently they are offering only two kinds. So one things for sure they don't offer varieties of lassi all the time.
On the wall of lassi shop pics of many tourist are pasted.
What the surprising part is that they don't show the menu.
It was mention Rs 40 for lassi. They charge Rs 50. It's their starting range.
Very frankly in Varanasi one can find better lassi then this in same price.
This place is overhyped.
Neither ambience is good nor there service.
In fact there is no parking place.
My final recommendation there are better option are available in varanasi."

A vegetarian’s guide to Varanasi

If you do not fear death, or stories of it, we suggest you to walk through the kachori gali to the ancient Manikarnika Ghat and stop by the popular Blue Lassi Shop. According to most locals, there is better lassi available in the city but if you want one for the gram, the fruit lassis make for great pictures and are a huge hit with international tourists and Instagrammers. The fruit and yoghurt in the lassi may help digest all the food you’ve just eaten but will also prepare you for a slow afternoon ahead.
