Kim Soo with a little Korean ring to it, and was established in 2015 on Seminyak’s most popular strip Jalan Eat Street, Jalan Kaya Ayu. Originally the building was a typical Dutch Colonial structure and with lots of love, care thought and dedication has become one of Seminyak’s most popular cafes. With abundant old world charm, Café Kim Soo also trades in home wares, thus the interiors are incredibly tastefully decorated, with merchandise that is hard to resist; a mild spending spree on a few items to take home post coffee and breakfast for a fabulous start to your day.

Kim Soo is not just a furniture shop—it’s also a stylish cafe with delicious brunch fare. We had the cheesy Triple Cheese Toastie (IDR75K/~S$6.81): thick toasted sourdough layered with cheddar, mozzarella, Swiss cheese, and a drizzle of truffle cream sauce. While this item was substantial enough to fill my stomach, I couldn’t resist trying the Baja Fish Tacos (IDR85K/~S$7.72), featuring tempura barramundi nestled within grilled flour tortillas, topped with chipotle mayonnaise, guacamole, and pickled jalapeno salsa.

Kim Soo is a chic-as-can-be homeware store and cafe located just a hop and skip from Ku De Ta and Petitenget Beach. Kim Soo serves all the things we want to see on our breakfast table, from ricotta pancakes to French toast and avocado smash – and we absolutely love the huge portion sizes!. The Kim Soo story began in 2015 out of a decaying and wonderful old Dutch Colonial-style building, in Seminyak, Bali. Lived in this setting and drew inspiration from the spiritual surroundings, the bohemia that was on its doorstep, the now-iconic arches, and quirky beauty. Kim Soo transformed thick white masonry walls into a place of natural calm and personal style and in the process, found itself surrounded by the exceptional artisans of Indonesia.

Everything is for sale in Kim Soo, which can be very dangerous if you start browsing while you’re waiting for your coffee!. Kim Soo is one of the more novel cafes in Bali, for it is both a lifestyle boutique and a dining destination.
