Secret Spot Canggu

This Canggu cafe first opened in Uluwatu as a yogurt and smoothie bowl shop, but the Canggu locations (there are two!) are where you’ll find a full menu of insanely tasty vegan food from brunch until dinner. It’s the kind of menu you wouldn’t even know is wholly vegan (unless you look closely at the small print) with hearty bites like gluten-free pancakes for breakfast, a Southwest “chicken” bowl for lunch, and a “cheesy” gluten-free lasagne for dinner. There are even vegan desserts and allll the nibbly sides and starters to swap and share.

Iconic avocado toast, smoothie bowls and chia puddings, and comfort food made healthier, like a hearty Italian lasagna or jackfruit stroganoff – Secret Spot Cafe always has amazing food and good coffee. For celiac customers, Secret Spot has a great selection of healthy food, including delicious gluten-free pancakes. The whole menu in general is strictly plant-based here, even the decadent desserts that are oh-so worthy of leaving some space in the stomach!

Secret Spot was one of the places we visited most frequently in Canggu. Most of the time, it was for late-night coffee and snacks on nights we were working late (the pumpkin soup is bomb)!. It doesn’t have a ton of breakfast options, but the cafe is totally vegan, so it’s another great option for vegans who are sick of double-checking with the waiter that there are actually no animal products in the food.

Secret Spot is another vegan restaurant in Canggu, Bali, where I often work from. A significant advantage is that the restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing you to choose between air conditioning and a refreshing breeze. Trust me, Bali can get scorching hot, so having this choice is a welcome relief, especially if you plan to spend half a day or more there.

Secret Spot has made a name for itself by providing delicious (vegan) fare, great coffee, and delectable treats. With two locations, one in Batu Bolong and one in Berawa, the secret is definitely out. The Berawa location is right next door to Pels Supershop and is much smaller than their Batu Bolong location, which is across the street from Blacklist Coffee Roasters.

Secret Spot’s vegan menu is huge, and the vibe is perfect for grabbing a coffee between surf and yoga sessions in the morning, finishing up some work, or getting dinner and drinks with friends. They have two locations—Berawa and Canggu—so it’s easy to stop by no matter where you’re staying in town. The entire menu is vegan-friendly and pretty affordable.

You can all relax – the ever-elusive perfect vegan croissant has been found!. It’s no secret that Secret Spot has some of the finest vegan food in Bali. There are so many delicious plant-based dishes to choose from, such as their homemade vegan and gluten-free lasagna, jackfruit stroganoff, poke bowls, salads, burgers and so much more.

Secret Spot is a staple vegan restaurant in Canggu and a cool place to spend some time. They have a location in Canggu, around the corner from Batu Bolong, and one in Berawa, so you can choose which one is closer to you. Personally, I prefer the Canggu one to get some work done, while the Berawa location is a bit more modern and cosy.

The Secret Spot is an import for Uluwatu, where it first opened, but due to its insanely popular success, there are now two cafes in Canggu. Yes, that’s right, two restaurants (one in Berawa and the other between Batu Bolong and Batu Mejan). An extensive menu is packed with tons of vegan goodies to salivate your taste buds.

The secret spot is indeed hidden very well, as I only discovered it after a couple weeks in Canggu. A bit off the busy main street it is a cute little surf cafe with a lovely atmosphere and delicious dishes. They only have vegan and vegetarian dishes which are so tasty you would not even miss the meat one single bit.

The one in Canggu is larger and has both an interior and exterior space, in which concerts and other events usually take place. On the breakfast menu, you will find wraps, toasts, smoothie bowls, pancakes, etc. For lunch and dinner, you can choose between ramen, burritos, shawarma, curry, pasta, lasagna, etc.

Secret spot is located in the heart of Canggu and is one of the most well known cafes in the area. This hipster surf style cafe has a beautiful interior that is perfect to lounge around or to do some work. Secret spot has a large and open outdoor area that is perfect to chill out in the mornings.

Open HouseThis is the best brunch spot at the point of writing in Canggu/ Pererenan!. Their portion sizes are massive and they only use fresh ingredients as well as olive oil. You can order from their menu or make your own plate (their hummus is one of my fav!) & the vibe is really unique.

This cozy little cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of vegan options. Their smoothie bowls are a must-try, and their avocado toast is always a crowd-pleaser. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, their vegan cinnamon rolls are out of this world.

The Secret Spot is hidden gem off a side street from Canggu’s most popular Batu Balong road. Their backyard area is one of the best with cozy bean bags and chairs. Visit The Secret Spot during the day for you café favorites.

I can especially recommend the bowls, the waffles, and the garden rolls. Also, the cinnamon rolls are amazing, as well as the carrot cake. Simply a vegan dream.
