We really struggling finding somewhere to stay in Uluwatu. All the places in good locations seemed booked up, or had low ratings.

Suka, a bustling and beloved Australian-style cafe has been a firm favourite of ours (and anyone who visits) for years. They take pride in their specialty coffee, sourced from Indonesia and roasted locally in Bali, and a menu that features familiar Western breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. With a focus on wholesome, fresh food and good vibes, Suka’s love for the simple things done well is evident in their satisfied customer base.

Uluwatu, Bali I spent my last two nights in Bali near the beach town of Uluwatu, a tourist destination in the Bukit peninsula, particularly popular among surfers. My last ever breakfast in Bali was at Suka Espresso and interestingly it was also one of the best I had over the two months. Suka was opened in December 2016 and it’s located on the road to Uluwatu Temple, on the site of an old warung (a traditional Balinese eatery).

Brunch fanatics flock to this little Uluwatu cafe thanks to the neat and utterly delicious menu of mostly morning and lunchtime dishes. The truffle scramble is a must-try, as is the poached eggs, crispy bacon, chilli garlic confit and chives, with toasted sourdough. Coffee lovers come here for the fact that Suka sources its beans in small batches from Indonesia and South America.

Every time I visit Suka Espresso, one of the best cafes in Uluwatu, it’s such a delightful experience, thanks to its range of delicious cuisines and vibrant atmosphere. The cafe has a rustic style and offers indoor, outdoor, and terrace seating with views of lush greenery. The atmosphere is perfect for a casual meal or catching up with your friends over coffee or cocktails.

Suka Espresso is another place with clear Aussie influences, with strong timber vibes, an overworked espresso machine and fashionable uniforms, all of which reminded me of home. It was also a little bit pricier than usual too, suggesting the same (we’re still only talking $6-7 mains here). And of course, the coffee was probably the best I’d had in Bali yet.

This popular establishment needs no extra attention, but I can’t deny its outstanding quality. Suka Espresso is a popular spot that can boost its popularity without help.

Suka Espresso Uluwatu has a love for the simple things and doing them well. Their specialty coffee is sourced from Indonesia and South America, but roasted locally in Bali. They also dish up all of your favourite cafe breakfast meals, healthy bowls, fresh bagels and sourdough sandwiches.

Suka Espresso is a local legend that usually tops the lists of “Best Cafes in Uluwatu.” The hype is real too: the breakfast (served until 3pm!) is exceptionally good here. Suka uses very high quality ingredients and offers arguably some of the best food in Uluwatu and Bali.

Sukka Espresso Bar initially started with just a panini press and good quality coffee. Every cup tells a story of its passion and craftsmanship. In December 2016, among the Uluwatu restaurants, this specialty coffee & brunch spot was born.

This chill spot offers a cozy vibe and quick service, perfect for brunch or dinner with a solid menu and a great atmosphere. Looking for a gluten free place in Ubud, we found this place on Google. We were not disappointed.

There are a lot of great menu options ranging from nice tuna dishes to an extensive breakfast menu. I’ve never been disappointed with a dish. You can also do work there and hangout for a bit.

Some of my favourites include Ours restaurant, The Loft, Suka Espresso, Nourish and Warung Local. Other places that come highly recommended include Drifter, The Cashew Tree, and Mana Uluwatu.

Suka Espresso is one of our favorite restaurants in Bali, period. I think we have been here 7+ times between Uluwatu and Ubud, for breakfast/lunch/dinner, and it’s still just as good.

Known for serving some of the best carrot and chocolate cakes in Uluwatu, Suka Espresso is not only a go-to spot for cake lovers but also a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious meal.

Their smoothie bowls, avo toast, and strong coffee are perfect fuel for a day in Uluwatu. Plus, their nasi goreng gives a nice nod to local flavors with a twist.
