What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Cave by Chef Ryan Clift offers an unparalleled dining experience within a 25,000-year-old cave, praised for its unique ambiance, attentive service, and innovative cuisine. While many find the experience worth the price, some reviews suggest that the food can be overly complicated or not to everyone's taste, with desserts sometimes being overly citrusy. Despite this, the magical atmosphere and the overall concept make it a highly recommended, once-in-a-lifetime destination.
"I came here with my friend 3 years ago.
We traveled to Bali and thought we’d love to give this famous restaurant a go.
There were staff welcoming us upon arrival. As we walked down the cave step by step, this stunning, unbelievable and unreal dining heaven appeared in our eyes. It was just the most unique and beautiful restaurant I have ever seen.
We had seasonal set menu. Every dish was so delicious and a piece of art. There were multiple light shows in between courses where you could take a break and just relax as if you were in endless beauty of the universe.
The price was honestly so worth it for the quality of the food and this experience.
We paid around AUD $200+. I think they have raised the price over the past few years tho.
But still, it’s totally valuable dining experience that you should have once in your lifetime!"

"As the traffic is very congested here! We were almost late! We took a grab car at first but as we cannot be late for this we changed to a grab motor half way. You might want to consider this option when travelling there.
Upon reaching the arrival, you will be ushered to a buggy to fetch you to the restaurant waiting area.
At the waiting area you will be greeted by tea or water and with breathtaking pool and ocean view!
Next you will be brought to the restaurant where you have to walk down a flight of stairs! You will be welcome by staff who can speak proper good English and polite!
You will be served shortly! There will be some light shows at intervals during the meal. And half way through you will get to go up to an elevated area where you can take picture and overview of the entire cave restaurant!
Worth a try if you like fine dining at such a unique atmosphere! Great and delicious food!
After the meal, we receive a box of sweet treats to be brought home too! Lovely gift from them!"
