Suka Espresso, created by the renowned Suka Collective, is a well-loved spot serving Australian-style dishes split into morning and afternoon menus. We went to Suka for breakfast and will definitely come back for the taste of their espresso again in the future. They do an amazing gluten-free sourdough bread that our friend loved too. However, it’s the huge breakfast plate that made this one of our favourite cafes in Ubud, it’s unbeatable value and the coffee is just the icing on the cake.

Suka Espresso is another cafe on the south side of Ubud — I would say a 15-minute stroll, but Ubud isn't really a town where it's possible to stroll that well. In any case, the two-floor cafe was busy when I rocked up at brunch o'clock. I had serious brunch envy as I looked at the other diners, but this diminished once I received my piccolo.

Along with being an avid Pizza lover, I am also a lover of amazing Western breakfast spots. Suka Espresso is one of those places that you will go to again and again while you are visiting Ubud and never get tired of it. This is by far one of the best places for breakfast and brunch you will find in Ubud.

The owners opened Suka Espresso in 2016 because they couldn’t find a decent coffee in Uluwatu. Now they have another one opened in Ubud as well!. For their breakfast menu, if you’re a thrill-seeker try their Chilli Bae or Chilli Scramble.

Suka Espresso does great breakfast and brunches as well as amazing dinner options. As the name suggests, their coffee is really great too. Check out the buddha bowls or tacos in the evening, they are really yummy!

First, we went after doing the Mount Batur Sunrise hike – so after getting up at 2am, hiking up and down a volcano, and barely eating anything until we got to the restaurant at 10:30am, we were STARVING.

If you want an excellent cafe brunch or a superb cup of coffee, you can’t go wrong at Suka Espresso. They also offer what must be the most authentically Australian breakfast menu outside of Australia.
