What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Inland Cafe is praised for its consistently good breakfast, friendly service, and great value. Many locals and visitors highlight the perfectly cooked eggs and delicious coffee. While some reviews mention issues with staff rudeness or overcooked food, the overall sentiment is positive, with many vowing to return for the satisfying meals and welcoming atmosphere.
"Had a very enjoyable breakfast. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly which surprisingly a lot of cafes seem to struggle with. The coffee was also good."

"We went for breakfast this morning Sunday 23rd Feb.
Ordered flat white/ tea/ bacon and poached eggs/ workers roll.
Rude child serving. She was smug, and condescending. Boy who delivered our meals should not be allowed to have customer contact. Rude.
Coffee was hot and delicious.
No bacon came with bacon and poached eggs. Eggs were so hard and dry. Didn’t bother asking what happened to bacon.
My roll was below standard too. Egg was fried into oblivion. I gave some my bacon to my hubby.
Poorly presented. Order not correct. Rude children staff. Coffee nice. Expensive for what we got. Do better and presentation and being nice is everything including not wearing daisy dukes shorts.
Having a 12 year old girl tell me I’m welcome!! Smarty pants. Do better"

"I walked into the cafe and from the beginning the owner was so kind. I explained I had coeliac disease and she was so accommodating, personally going to the kitchen to make my food to ensure there was no cross contamination. Thank you so much! Lovely place."

Top Ten Cafes to explore in Tamworth
Open 6am - 3pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 6:30 - 2pm, Sunday 7am - 12pm. It's fair to say location is everything, and I've heard plenty of reviews about how this cafe has the perfect position on Peel Street. While the Inland Cafe sits humbly between an acupuncturist and a bakery, the menu is far from humble as it offers more than your typical breakfast and lunch meals.
Best places for breakfast in Tamworth, NSW
After a decade in the business, The Inland Cafe and owner Kristy have become a staple on the Tamworth cafe scene. Choose between sitting indoors where the baristas do their thing, or outside to enjoy the sunshine and bustle of Peel Street. There’s something for everyone on the breakfast menu, and with the quick service you won’t be waiting long to eat.
Your Ultimate Guide to Tamworth
The Inland Cafe is a celebration of bold flavors and hearty servings. Their burgers and sandwiches are crowd-pleasers, but the real star of the show is their rich, creamy coffee. It’s a favorite among locals for good reason: the food is satisfying, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff make you feel like part of the family.
