Reviews Summary

The Firehouse is praised for its delicious stone-baked pizzas and expertly grilled charcoal dishes, complemented by a warm atmosphere and friendly service. While many guests rave about the flavorful food and pleasant dining experience, some find the prices to be on the higher side, and occasionally mention slow kitchen service.

"I had an outstanding dining experience. The beef burger was cooked to perfection – juicy and flavorful. The chicken burger also impressed, offering a delightful taste. As a BIG mac & cheese fan, I can confidently say this was one of the best I've ever had. The pork belly was superbly juicy and fresh, complemented by a deliciously sweet sauce. Highly recommended!"

zilvinas semeta

"We came in without a booking yet they still managed to find us a seat after a small wait and let me tell you something, THE WAIT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I ordered the special steak pizza AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the most juicest and flavourful pizza I've ever tasted. I haven't been to Italy yet but that's what I imagine the pizza in Naples itself would taste. The white chocolate cookie dough is also really nice. Small portion but if you have just a small sweet tooth it's perfect."

Lukas Frejeris

"I just have complements for this restaurant. Starting with the kind, attentive and helpful staff. The atmosphere is nice, beautiful restaurant. The food it was great, and I would definitely come back. Easy to park nearby."

This lake-filled spot is the UK’s best-kept foodie secret

However, Enniskillen is not just about fine dining: the long-running Dollakis does an imaginative Greek mezze menu (small plates from £3.95, 2 Cross Street); neighbouring Franco’s does a roaring trade in pizzas and pastas (mains from £16.95, francosrestaurant.co.uk); and the Firehouse charcoal grill has a strong local following (mains from £13, thefirehouse.org.uk). The many independent cafés and bakeries are also thriving, from the sourdough don Joe the Baker (joethebaker.com) to the mega-popular Bee’s Knees (37 Townhall Street) and mouthwatering creations at a new arrival, the Toastery (toasties from £8.50, 22 Church Street). My personal favourite was Folk, a bakery and café run by the New Zealander Michael McKenzie on the outskirts of town: his patisserie is as elevated as any in London (45 Darling Street).

Experience an eating extravaganza in Enniskillen

The Firehouse aims to “bring a whole new style of dining to the town” and boasts a stone baked pizza oven and an exciting new charcoal ‘big Bertha’ oven, which Mark believes is one of only two on the island of Ireland. The oven creates a flavour that only chargrilling can impart to your favourite cut of steak, chicken or fish, and the heat is controlled by means of raising or lowering the rack on which the meat is cooked. There is also a Napoleon pizza oven.

Experience Enniskillen’s eating extravaganza

Joe Kelly’s artisan bread is so popular that, even though we arrived at 11.30am, he had sold out. As we ate our sandwiches several people came along the alley to ask if he had anything left, only to leave disappointed but seemingly not surprised. While his sourdough creations can be obtained at a number of select stores, his pastries can be bought only at the hatch in the alley.
