Replying to @Ali_L490 Lotssss of people made this suggestion so we had to stop by! Super simple menu. No surprises but overall solid. Felt similar to Five Guys, but better 💛 loved the sweet potato chips! (not fries!) #bunsen #burger #dublin #dublinfood

Reviews Summary

Bunsen is celebrated for its exceptional, juicy burgers and perfectly cooked patties, with many calling it the best in Ireland. Diners also rave about the thin, crispy fries. While the simple menu is a hit for its focus on quality, a few find the burgers a bit small for the price, and some reviews mention inconsistent fry crispiness.

"Best burger I ever had! Very short menu but you do not need any more if you are coming to eat burger and that's what you get. Medium cooked patty was perfection.
One small thing to improve is the chips, sweet potato chips was crunchy for first 5min but when get little cooler starting to get soggy.
Overall 9.5/10
Strongly recommend if you like good burger."

Eugenijus Jancys

"The place was packed and me and my friends had to takeaway the burger but it was still soo delicious! I recommend going to a nearby park to sit and enjoy the sun but the only bad thing is that the seagulls were vicious and kept coming to us. The portion of the fries was really generous too!"

qinying

"Without a doubt the best burger in Ireland is at Bunsen. The Bunsen here is always consistently good, the service is fantastic, and great food. I love the way they always ask you if you want vinegar with your fries. Who wouldn’t?"

15 Must-Try Restaurants in Dublin, From Wood-Fired Pizza to Lunchtime Tasting Menus

When it opened its first outlet on Dublin’s buzzy Wexford Street in 2013, word quickly got around and Bunsen immediately shot to the top of the list for Dublin’s best burgers. Now with seven outlets dotted around the city and suburbs as well as outposts in Cork and Belfast, this micro-chain’s popularity and quality remain undimmed. The formula is deceptively simple: hamburgers and cheeseburgers delivered in the form of perfectly sized prime beef patties, baked buns, and all the usual toppings.

7 Must-Try Cheap Eats in Dublin

These guys, based in the world-famous Temple Bar area of the city, have got that combination just right – succulent, fresh, juicy burgers for a bargain price (their burgers are even cheaper – and more filling – than a pint of Guinness in some of the pubs around the Temple Bar!). Bunsen keeps it simple too: their menu consists of hamburgers, cheeseburgers (toppings are free), fries and a few drinks – and we’re fully on board with the notion of less is more when it comes to comfort food classics like burgers. Both hamburgers and cheeseburgers cost less than €10, while a portion of hand-cut French fries won’t even cost you €5.

10 fabulous Dublin fast food spots to get you through Christmas

Their tagline is ‘Straight Up Burgers’ and it doesn’t get more straight-up than a business card-sized menu of hamburger, with or without cheese, fries and a soda, milkshake or beer. The compact menu is a refreshing change from oversized, pimped-up burgers of previous years but it’s not just the simplicity that appeals — the taste is spot on too. Burgers are fresh minced Black Aberdeen Angus, with perfectly melting cheese, pickle for umami and a classic American Amish dinner roll bun.

Best Dinner In Dublin

Hip, trendy, and oh-so-delicious, Bunsen is a no-fuss burger bar on East Sussex Street that packs a punch with its patties, fries, and shakes. This cool joint's menu is minimal, offering only the essential toppings - but, by using freshly hand-minced Angus beef and other high-quality produce, their dirty, juicy burgers are anything but basic (and can be enjoyed for under a tenner). Let the burger do the talking; come on over and get your fix.

A burger restaurant in Dublin with multiple locations, this is no standard burger chain; Bunsen is definitely a step above most burger restaurants, both in quality and atmosphere. The menu is limited - you’ll find more options at a McDonalds than at Bunsen - but what they do, they do right. With their menu given to you on a business card, that should tell you just how limited the menu is.
