There’s a strong Mad Men vibe to Fidelity, until the music kicks up a notch after dark, that is. This mid-century styled bar takes music seriously – so much so, there are soundwaves embossed on the glasses, along with a state of the art sound system and custom speakers on the ceiling and back wall. Things are a little more intimate in the smaller bar, with discrete dividers between booths, but the adjoining studio has a more social ambiance.

Billed as a bar for audiophiles, Fidelity is where to go if you like craft beer, cocktails and tunes. Located in Smithfield, this bar serves up a rotating selection of beer from all over the world as well as drinks from Whiplash, one of Ireland’s leading craft breweries and the co-owners of this space. It also has a mighty impressive cocktail menu and wine selection.

Contending with traffic noise from both cars and the Luas are the benches outside Fidelity; once again, there are only a few, but their Whiplash and guest beers are lovely, traffic notwithstanding. Taking the Luas further out to The Circular will also land you at another good Pavement Pints spot – and they are introducing a regular market in the near future, too. Another newer spot in this category, albeit closer in, is The Morris Bar, where they have only just added a small outdoor seating area to the front.

One of the usual suspects on everyone’s list of best cocktail spots in Dublin, Fidelity (from the folks who brought us The Big Romance and Whiplash) is ideal for larger groups. Settle in for the night here, sipping on handcrafted tipples, Whiplash beers and much more whilst enjoying beats on their state of the art sound system, hit the dancefloor in Studio by Fidelity, or grab Asian-inspired bites from Sister7 by the ever popular BigFan. Fidelity is a one stop shop for a great night out.

Fidelity Bar is an outstanding craft beer and cocktail bar in Dublin that is a collaboration between The Big Romance (see below) and Whiplash brewery. It’s located near the Jameson distillery on the north side of the Liffey. The bar is a beautiful gathering place with a custom-designed sound system that provides great music while also not overwhelming conversation.
