We’ll start strong: it’s hard to top Bonobo, with an always-interesting beer lineup and a large (by Dublin standards) patio with many tables and chairs, and its sister pub on the south side, Kodiak. There’s pizza at both as well, if you’re putting in a full afternoon’s work. Another excellent option for beer, food and general ‘vibes’ is the back deck at The Bald Eagle – again, it’s a large space, and there’s a mix of covered areas and even televisions if it’s a sportsball-day, plus a lot of fun art (mind the Dalek!), good beer and food for all the family.

In Ranelagh and Rathmines, the dog-friendly Humphrey’s draws a young crowd with craft beers and tacos from Fuppin’ Delish, while in Rathmines that youthful, craft-loving mix comes with cocktails at the high-octane Kodiak and retro board games at the laidback Blackbird. It’s got a laid-back vibe which makes meeting here with your mates a no-brainer and it’s got a sturdy enough selection of charred pizzas on the menu that you won’t have to worry about stressing out to get a booking anywhere when you’re five pints in.

Kodiak, Rathmines – a hidden gem that is sure to satisfy your cravings for delicious food and amazing cocktails. I recently celebrated my birthday here and let me tell you, the service was absolutely brilliant!. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel right at home.

Kodiak is actually owned by the same people as Bonobo, and it’s another one of my favorite spots!. I go here WAY too much. The beer garden consists of several long shared tables, and they serve up some great craft beer, cocktails, and seriously DELICIOUS pizza.

This huge space is great for meet ups with a gang, and the pizza doesn't play second fiddle to the drinks. We know you're going for cocktails but you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not dip a toe into their epic craft beer selection,
