Reviews Summary

Loose Canon Cheese and Wine is celebrated for its exceptional artisan cheese toasties and a diverse selection of natural wines, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. However, some diners have noted issues with inconsistent service and a significant surcharge for on-site consumption, which can lead to unexpected costs.

"Perfect spot for people-watching and having a good chat!

My friend and I had a lovely time here, we totally lucked out with the weather so we got to enjoy our drinks and cheese outside on the little tables and chairs. There’s also indoor seating in case it’s raining or you’re just in the mood to be cozy inside.

I actually love that it’s a small space, it makes the whole experience feel warm and intimate. There’s just something really nice about it. And the cheese omg its so good🤌🏼🤌🏼"

"One of my favorite spots in Dublin! Small little shop with 3 types of grilled cheese, cheese and meat platters and wine. Not much seating but it’s a walking street out front so on nice days you can enjoy outside."

Primarily a cheese and wine shop, Loose Canon is also where you’ll find what could be the best toastie in town. These sourdough sandwiches are filled with artisan cheeses from the counter, slathered in salty butter then grilled to golden, crunchy perfection. You can pick a bottle of wine from the shelves or just get a glass of whatever they’re pouring, like a cloudy orange wine or Riesling.
