Reviews Summary

PI George's Street is celebrated for its exceptional wood-fired pizzas, featuring a perfectly blistered crust and creative, high-quality toppings. Diners consistently praise the fast, friendly, and attentive service, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While most reviews are glowing, a few suggest pizzas could be cooked longer, or note the music might be a bit loud for deep conversations.

"Hands down some of the best pizza in Dublin! The crust is crunchy and chewy at the same time and the fresh toppings are amazing. Pair that with the awesome garlic and herb dip and you're in for a good meal!

As if that wouldn't be enough, the food comes out in just a few minutes, and it's served by a lovely team of waiters.

This time we got the fully vegan Mediterranean pizza with Happy Pear pesto and veggies, and the classic Margherita. They were both fantastic and I'm absolutely coming back for more! Cannot recommend Pi enough!"

"A REALLY REALLY GOOD PIZZA!

Went there on our trip to Dublin. Waited in line, because the pizzas are so good everyone wants to get them. We ordered the Margherita and the Smoked prosciutto ones and they were absolutely delicious. They were also quite big and we ended up taking like half of them back to the hotel.
The staff were really kind and helpful. They called us when there was a free table, which was really nice of them. Made us feel really welcome.
The atmosphere is nice, the music is kinda loud so it is definitely not the best place for a deep serious conversations.
Overall a very good restaurant that is tourist friendly and offers really good pizza."

"The best pizza in Ireland 🇮🇪! Some of the best I've had anywhere. The crust is fresh, tossed right in front of you in this open kitchen style and then slid into the wood oven. Ours took about 6-7 minutes and was cooked perfectly. We had the mushroom pizza and a margarita + pepperoni. We also tried the garlic dipping sauce. Yummy with the crust, but not necessary as the crust is tasty on its own. Highly recommend of you're craving pizza 🍕"

The 10 Best Pizza Places In Dublin

PI Pizza Dublin is another popular pick among locals on our list, offering wood-fired delights made with fresh ingredients from the best Irish artisan producers. It was born out of owner John Savage’s desire to create a pizza place similar to Roberta’s and Paulie Gee’s in New York but in Ireland, without skimping on quality. At PI, they use the finest 00 flour from Naples and leave it for 72 hours to prove, before spreading it with a fresh sauce made with Irish tomatoes; then in a 500-degree oven, the crusts become blistered, giving them a leopard effect.

10 Best Pizzas in Dublin - a slice of the city for every price point

While most on this list have earned their stripes over time, Pi still buzzes with newness. The dark decor feels gimmicky to me (they even do black cutlery), but there's no doubting the pedigree floating out of that big black oven. Describing themselves as "wood-fired pizza fundamentalists", Pi produces the goods in jig time at 500-degrees, and my Margherita mixed lovely, melty balls of Toonsbridge fior de latte (a soft, mozzarella-style cheese made with cow’s milk) with a bang of basil, dribbly juices and a base brandishing a neat, charred smack.

The Perfect Slice - Here's Where To Get The Best Pizza in Dublin

A cult favourite in the city centre, when Pi opened a few years ago, there were queues out the door and weeks to wait to get a booking, and this hype was certainly worth it. Pi keeps it simple, serving only their famous, 72 hour-risen pizzas with their signature leopard-like crust, a few dips and a great selection of drinks. However, their toppings are certainly unique, with options like Gubbeen Chorizo, Piquillo Peppers and Pickled Chillies, Roasted Pineapple Purée, Chilli-Rubbed Smoked Bacon and Lime-Pickled Onions, and so much more.

The 20 Hottest Restaurants in Dublin

Pi was the instigator of "the great pizza debate of 2018", which we may have started after declaring it the best pizza in Dublin. A summer of hotly contested opinions followed, with Catherine Cleary agreeing with us in September, and Leslie Williams says it's as good a pizza as he's ever tasted. There was a point where the queues got a bit nutso but it's settled into nice hum, partly in thanks to the clever new queuing system that lets you go for a beer until they text to say your table's ready.

The 25 best pizza spots you have to try in Dublin

You were lucky to get a booking at PI in the first few months of its life when it opened in 2018. Only open going on six years, this pizzeria has opened a new spot in Temple Bar in the last few months, spreading its cheesy gospel into Dublin’s tourist hub. The crust has that Dalmatian spot effect, with large air bubbles that mean you won’t feel too weighed down following a pizza here, but it’s the super fresh tomato sauce that has people raving about PI long after they’ve finished their meal.

Mum and Baby-Friendly Dining in Dublin

If you ever crave an incredibly good pizza, Pi is the place to go. It's quite busy at dinner time but the eatery is pretty quiet during the day and if you manage to get the big table right by the entrance, you will have plenty of room for your buggy. Also, the fact that a pizza can be eaten with one hand makes it great when baby is done sleeping and wants to join the fun around the table.
