Reviews Summary

Teddy's Ice Cream is a beloved Dublin institution celebrated for its iconic 99 cones and creamy, high-quality ice cream, offering a delightful experience enhanced by its coastal location and friendly service. While many rave about the classic treats and nostalgic atmosphere, some reviews mention the ice cream being comparable to standard soft serve and occasional issues with customer service or pricing changes under new ownership.

"I recently had the pleasure of tasting Teddy's Ice Cream yesterday and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped up to the colorful ice cream truck, I knew I was in for a treat.

First and foremost, the selection of flavors at Teddy's Ice Cream is truly impressive. They offer a wide array of classic and innovative flavors, catering to every taste bud. Whether you're a fan of traditional options like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry or seeking something more adventurous like salted caramel or cookies and cream, Teddy's has got you covered. They even have seasonal flavors that add a delightful twist to their menu.

The quality of the ice cream itself is outstanding. Each scoop is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can tell that Teddy's takes great pride in using high-quality ingredients to create their frozen treats. The texture is perfectly smooth, and every bite is a heavenly experience.

One of the things that sets Teddy's Ice Cream apart is their commitment to customer service. The staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and always ready to help you make the perfect choice. They are knowledgeable about the flavors and are more than happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The service is quick and efficient, ensuring that you can enjoy your ice cream without any unnecessary delay.

The vibrant colors, the cheerful atmosphere, and the joyous laughter of fellow ice cream enthusiasts create a warm and inviting environment.

In conclusion, Teddy's Ice Cream offers an unforgettable frozen treat experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist, make sure to treat yourself to Teddy's Ice Cream—you won't be disappointed!"

"While coming back from Forty Foot, we had two of these icecreams for which there was a small line even.

I got the 99 one which was alright, nothing that amazing being honest. And my friend had an Oreo sundae one(not sure about the actual name). They both were just alright.

Nothing bad but just okay. That's why 4 star."

"Teddy’s in Dún Laoghaire is a place with a special atmosphere. I tried their famous 99 cone for the first time during a walk along the pier. The soft, creamy ice cream with the classic Cadbury Flake was genuinely tasty, and the salty sea breeze made the experience even better. There’s usually a long queue, which adds to the authenticity, but sometimes you wish the service were a bit quicker. Still, there’s something nice about waiting alongside people who, just like you, came for a simple moment of joy. I appreciated that Teddy’s is more than just ice cream — it’s part of local history and culture. That said, while the taste and quality were good, they didn’t quite blow me away. Maybe it’s a matter of expectations. Overall, it’s a great spot worth returning to — especially in summer. A solid 4 stars: tasty, heartwarming, but without a wow factor."
