Reviews Summary
Diners at The Percy French often praise the friendly and attentive staff, with many highlighting the great service and pleasant atmosphere. The stunning views of the sea and mountains are a consistent draw. However, some reviews mention inconsistency in food quality, with dishes like fish and chips drawing mixed reactions, and a few diners finding the menu limited or prices high, particularly for extras like tap water.
"First time in the Percy French in 6 years and it's still as good as it was. Our server Chrissy was very nice and couldn't be more helpful.
We both opted for the fish and chips and weren't disappointed. The batter was light and melts in your mouth, whilst the chips are well cooked and plentiful, no skimping here!
Would love to see the restaurant bring back the seafood chowder served in a bread bowl. It was a classic."

"Atmosphere and views are great, and service was really good, but the food itself made the experience very average."

"Friendly chatty staff, asked for allergies, starters where beautiful but the main fish and chip were that hard it wasn't edible so picked the fish out & left most on the plate. Although the view of the ocean was relaxing the tables were wobbly and not very big, I was a table of one and couldn't imagine eating with 2 seated. While paying she asked how the food was I was honest and said the fish and chips were burnt and seemed offended, not that I was expecting it for free but my opinion clearly didn't matter. Hope the chef receives the feedback as with a little less frying the main would of hit the spot nicely!!"
