"Loved the decor and the concept of the « doors » in the walls containing items local to the area. Wonderful ethos. Except for one dish (which was merely very good!) the food was excellent. The service though was distinctly patchy. We were greeted at the door by someone who seemed not to speak any English, and who kept asking if we were going to do the wine pairing as she was seating us, before we’d even seen the menu. The first few dishes came out far too quickly, some being placed on the table before earlier dishes has been cleared. Two dishes were not even explained, just plonked down. We had to ask someone else what they were. As the meal progressed, dishes started coming out too slowly with long gaps. At this price point the service should be better, and it did feel expensive. The food was truly excellent but this time, the service did not match it."
