The dining room, with dark paneling and nautical motifs like ships' wheels, spills out onto a spacious balcony where diners eat beside the water, looking at Jordan across the way. The Last Refuge restaurant at Coral Beach is arguably Eilat's best seafood restaurant. The owner previously had another seafood restaurant at Sharm El Sheik at the tip of the Sinai, and when this area was returned to Egypt, he established this new venue at Eilat.

The best restaurants we visited was The Last Refuge (awesome grilled fish!) by the ocean at Coral Beach (15 minutes from the city) and Ginger Asian Kitchen in the city centre for excellent sushi!. The sushi taco was great a surprise!
