"Wow!
A really amazing place, great food, great people, an interesting place, would come back again and again!"

"Probably the best restaurant in Haifa, Maayan Habira is a blue-collar diner that serves east European cuisine and a lot of different beer brands. I have visited many times, and even though there’s always at least one mistake with the food served to the table, this restaurant has never let me down.
I recommend visiting on Friday when Cityhall blocks the whole street and the restaurant is deploying tables on the road (plus, sitting outside is not as crowded as the inside)."
Carmit Harari
"Fabulous experience.
Rara avis among Israeli restaurants, where the price is equivalent to the quality of the food. Very best of East European cousine. Beef stewed with beans was excellent. Fresh bier.
Thank you!"

The Romanian family-run business has been around since 1962; today Reuven and his son Shlomi do the excellent cooking. To start, savor chopped liver, jellied calf's foot, gefilte fish, and oxtail soup.
