Armenian Tavern offers a truly unique dining experience with its historical ambiance and traditional Armenian dishes. Many praise the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, making it a highlight in Jerusalem. However, some diners have noted inconsistencies with food quality and billing, suggesting a need for careful attention to detail.
"After our volunteer time and everything else closed on sabbath day, it was difficult to find any place to eat. We saw this one was open and made a reservation. The service is great, food was very delicious and the restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with jewelry, art, and chandelier that brings the heritage of Armenia. We really had a good time talking to friends enjoying the night over homely food."

"Very good restaurant, we all enjoyed. Works Saturday evenings!
Tiny entrance and big underground space with lots of historical staff like guns and antique soviet brandy.
Live parrot greets you at the entrance.
Friendly and professional staff.
Very tasty Armenian dishes and Armenian coffee - can good start for a visit to Jerusalem. Prices are moderate."

"The interior is quite something and felt like a museum. The food tasted fine and was sufficient for a simple dinner. We had two mains and drinks. The bill came to about 180 NIS. Just make sure you check the bill as they made a mistake with drinks. They do take credit cards. Efficient service. We are staying in the old city so this was convenient for us."
