Huddled in the newly opened Sarona is an historic German Templar compound established in the 19th century that now flaunts a slew of boutiques and restaurants fit for couples, friends and families. Third time's the charm as Rustico’s other two branches in Tel Aviv are humming with patrons from all over the world. Begin with beef Carpaccio and a fresh salad, take a breather with a gorgeously homemade brick-stone oven focaccia and end off slurping up a perfectly creamy pasta.

With three branches across Tel Aviv, whether you dine at Rothschild Boulevard, Sarona or in the Old North you’re in for a treat at Rustico, which is beloved by locals for its intimate atmosphere and consistently good Italian dishes. The menu isn’t huge but everything on it is excellent - from the beef carpaccio and onion bruschetta to the spinach and lemon pappardelle and the mushroom risotto. The stars of the show, however, have to be their pizzas, which are a factor.

Everyone wants to have a neighborhood restaurant he or she can just take a sweater and head down to sit the regular table and have the regular course which will always be executed the same way. Though sounds a little boring, such a place can provide a very good default when you just don’t have the strength to start cooking or you’re just too damn hungry. Rustico Bazel, with its solid execution, relaxing atmosphere and location, is getting quite close.

Rustico never fails to disappoint with their top quality pizzas and pastas — no wonder there are three different locations just in the heart of Tel Aviv. The cozy, casual atmosphere paired with meals that get seem to get better with every visit makes Rustico one of the hottest Italian restaurants in the city.
