Vitrina, one of Tel Aviv’s most popular restaurants, has been serving hungry locals for almost a decade. It has two locations in the city, one near Rabin Square and the other near Rothschild Avenue. Both venues are famous for their Butler Burger, which has special toppings like onion jam, aioli and arugula and comes with the optional addition of gouda or blue cheese.

Vitrina opened in 2011 by Nati Menashe and since then, it has become an inseparable part of the Tel Aviv landscape and a focus for those seeking a hamburger or quality sausage. In February 2017, renovations forced him to close the place. Although Vitrina remained in the game, Ibn Gvirol without Vitrina remained as deserted as a hamburger without french fries.

For this self-titled burger snob, I just gotta say: Vitrina truly does make the best burger in this town. The meat sandwich tastes like it is cooked by angels and then smothered in just the right amount of fattening and parmesan-y goodness. You can drown your burger in the beet-ketchup and creamy, garlic-mayo, and find yourself living like a local, experiencing “the most satisfying bites of burger you may taste in this burger-wasteland of country.” Nay fine people of Secret Tel Aviv – there is simply *NO* other burger in Israel worthy of my highest honour of most mind-numbingly delicious burger EVER!

In the past years the trend of fancy burgers took over Tel Aviv, there are so many great burger joints in this city but Vitrina is definitely at the top five. On the menu, you can find different kinds of juicy burgers like their famous ‘Butler Cheese Burger’- high-quality beef, Aioli sauce, pickles, homemade onion jam, gouda cheese, and blue cheese. You also have the great vegetarian option, the ‘Golden State Veggie’ – thousand island dressing, iceberg lettuce, tomato, fried onions and big portobello mushroom filled with Cheddar and gouda cheese.

Contrary to what some might think, Israeli street food isn’t just about authenticity and ethnic food. In fact, Tel Aviv’s Vitrina is one of the best gourmet-sausage and hamburger joints you can find, anywhere in the world. This well-designed bar offers many different kinds of homemade gourmet sausages and awesome french fries, made out of potatoes and sweet potatoes and sprinkled with special seasoning and grated lemon peel.

Vitrina is one of the trendiest burger joints in the city, and is super popular with the young hip crowd. It’s known just as much for the fried chicken burgers as the beef, but we’d go for the latter.
