What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This family-run trattoria offers an authentic taste of Aosta Valley cuisine with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and an impressive wine selection. Diners praise the friendly, attentive service and cozy atmosphere, highlighting dishes like gnocchi and polenta. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, some reviews mention that service can occasionally be slow, and portions are generous, suggesting moderate ordering for smaller appetites.
"This restaurant is amazing. The service is like a well-oiled machine - everyone has a role and the restaurant runs smoothly because of this. The food did not disappoint either and the dessert cart was GREAT! The only issue was the parking lot - it is extremely tight when the restaurant is in full swing and not easy to pull out of (even in a Fiat!)"

"Beautiful place with convenient parking.
Friendly staffs with no English issue. Spacious and clean.
Service was great where staffs make sure the portion were shared as we requested.
Food were hit and miss.
I was impressed with the blue cheese gnocchi, highly recommended, good for sharing.
The lamp chop with mashed potato were a bit unexpected, especially that the lamp chop were deep fried in cheese coating. Not exactly to our asian palatte.
Grilled trout had really flavourful almond sauce and I love it if I wasn so full from the gnocchi 🥹.
For asians, as the food portion were quite big, recommend to order moderately.
Staying at a partner hotel, we were given 10% discount.
Then there was option to give compulsory 3%-20% tips/service charge at the end.
This place was open on Monday evening, not very crowded."

"We booked a wine tasting and a dinner separately, but due to circumstances we combined it. Reservation is recommended. The trattoria is a family business and serves local specialties. We went all out the Italian way with antipasto, primo, secundo and dolce. Each course accompanied with a local wine, with explanation from the head sommelier. The food was really good, staff was kind and punctual and English speaking ."

Historic spot in Valdostan cuisine located on the state highway from Aosta to Mont Blanc, this restaurant has a very spacious parking lot and a refined open air space during the summers. Decor is simple but orderly, tables are arranged with care and in the dining room owner Maurizio will make you feel comfortable right away and will promptly inform you on the dishes of the day. You’ll find classic dishes such as Valpellinese soup or Valdostan fondue with rustic polenta and the Carbonade with a side of polenta concia.
Vinous Table: Trattoria di Campagna, Valle d’Aosta, Italy (Aug 2019) | Vinous
Trattoria di Campagna will most likely not go down in the history books because of an especially elegant setting or three-star service. In fact, it’s rather rustic in its look and feel, and the friendly, easygoing service is more like that of a family home than that of a chic dining destination. No matter, the place offers an excellent, fairly priced wine list (especially from within the region) and superb food served in a quiet environment (there is also a pretty outside dining area when weather allows).
