Reviews Summary
Terranima offers an authentic taste of Apulian cuisine in a charming, rustic setting. Diners praise the handmade pasta, fresh ingredients, and the warm, hospitable service. While most reviews are glowing, a few mention that prices might be a bit high for the portion size, or that certain dishes, while good, might not be 'mind-blowing'.
"A restaurant with authentic interior and good not banal food. We took peperoni and lamb. Both were delicious, tender. Tried a gelato as well - very particular. The waiters were super nice, kind, were joking and creating a welcoming atmosphere. I would love to come back again and try other food."

"This will definitely be our favourite in Bari. We're glad we followed a recommendation to look in the new town rather than the run-down old town. And we are happy with our choice. There are tourists here too, but also lots of restaurants and Italians from other regions. Very fine food, great choice of vegetarian, seafood or meat dishes. Lovely service and beautifully decorated rooms."

An excellent version is served at Terranima on the edge of the Old Town. Characterful heritage photographs of Bari enliven the restaurant's interior, and there's every chance passing diners will be lured in with a complimentary glass of wine offered by the restaurant's friendly owners. Local street food, including robust panzerotti (deep-fried pastries stuffed with cheese and tomato), is best enjoyed amid the bars and cafes of Bari's Largo Albicocca piazza.

Terra (earth) and anima (soul), i.e., a refuge for the body and spirit. In the outdoor courtyard or in the indoor hall, what reigns on the table is the very short supply chain, for meats from "free" farms, vegetables from nearby fields, cheeses made with "bruna" milk, traditional cured meats (first and foremost the Martina Franca capocollo). Starters range from raw seafood to seasonal vegetables, and then go on to tiella with rice, potatoes, and mussels, orecchiette with turnip greens, broad bean and chicory puree, stuffed peppers.
Where to Eat (Local's Guide)
Terranima is the kind of restaurant that feels like stepping into a rustic corner of the Puglian countryside — without ever leaving Bari. It’s warm, atmospheric, and proudly regional, from the village-style murals on the walls to the menu that reads like a love letter to traditional Apulian cooking. When I visited, I started with their antipasti della casa — a generous spread of local cheeses, cured meats, and seasonal vegetables, all beautifully prepared.
