What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Torre del Gusto offers a mixed bag of dining experiences, with many praising the hearty portions of traditional Italian pasta dishes and the charming atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating. However, some reviews highlight inconsistencies in food quality and service, with occasional complaints about dishes being average or poorly prepared, and some staff exhibiting a lack of enthusiasm.
"Amazing food, probably the best I’ve ever had. TRY THE DIABLO OCTOPUS!! It was like taking a bite out of a grill fired steak, perfectly tender and had good compliments.
The image is of the Sea Bass which was also delicious with fried thinly sliced potatoes."

"The food was prepared well, but the flavour and taste felt lacking. The appetiser was quite good, but it didn’t have fish pate as stated in the menu. The risotto was cooked perfectly Alden te, but the artichoke and mint flavour were not present and dish could use abit more salt. The fish was cooked nicely, but similarly could use more flavour and salt.
The server struggled with English, but overall service was ok. The wine menu had suggestions on food pairings, so it was easier to choose the wine without asking the server.
We wanted to try the local Como cuisine, but it seems that you might have better experience with ordering the other dishes based on the other reviews.
Our orders
1. Lake appetizer: Chub fish pâté and carasau bread, carpione Perch fish, smoked salmon trout
2. Lavarello risotto with artichoke and mint cream, creamed with seasoned parmesan
3. Grilled "Butterfly" lavarello from our lake, with lemon sauce, sage, chopped pistachios and mixed salad"

"Torre del Gusto in Bellagio is situated in a prime spot, right in the heart of a bustling tourist area, which is both its blessing and its curse. The food here is, frankly, average—nothing to write home about. I was craving a good steak, and while their menu offers a few options, the consensus is clear: if you’re going for steak, stick with the bone-in cut. It’s the standout choice in an otherwise unremarkable lineup, offering decent flavor and juiciness, though it’s still not exceptional.
The atmosphere feels like it’s designed to churn through the endless stream of tourists rather than create a memorable dining experience. The staff, while not outright rude, seem visibly worn out—likely exhausted from dealing with the constant flood of visitors. You can sense their lack of enthusiasm, which doesn’t help elevate the meal or the vibe.
Overall, Torre del Gusto is fine if you’re already in the area and need a quick bite, but don’t expect culinary fireworks. Go for the bone-in steak if you must, but there are better spots in Bellagio for a truly satisfying meal"
