"I stayed at Pio a couple of years ago and I cannot wait to return. The building and setting is incantevole and the staff are wonderful. It’s my favourite hotel in all of Europe and I travel a lot. The food is also wonderful. In addition, Ferrara is a gorgeous city. I hope to see you soon.

"Beautiful location, very close to city center, but questionable renovation...it depends on your taste. Food is featureless, nothing special. Like a tourist restaurant. Staff definitely not fitting the ambitions of the place (not particularly high though)...hence I mean very poor service. Forget about wines, mediocre selection and incapability to serve: how can you present a red wine at room temperature (26-27 degrees)...no cellar? In a place with average summer temperature above 30 degrees? Perfect method to cook your wines..."
