The setting alone – in the so-called Emperor's Court of a Renaissance palace – renders an evening here akin to dining in a private art museum. Tables lounge in intimate alcoves, beneath barrel-vaulted loggias and a spellbinding kaleidoscope of 16th-century frescoes (the Battle of Frogs and Mice is a favorite).

The iconic Cibrèo can also be found in the exclusive location of the historic Helvetia & Bristol Firenze - Starhotels Collezione. An unprecedented menu of highly selected Italian specialities. Dishes to try include the Crespelle di Ricotta with White Meat Ragout, a symbol of the generosity of Cibrèo's cuisine, the Filetto di Fassona Piemontese, a spokesperson for the quality and excellence of Italian raw materials, and L'Abetone, a dessert that with its elegant asymmetry winks at the traditional Mont Blanc and becomes a symbol of the Florentine provocation typical of Cibrèo.

Behind the cathedral in Florence, this gourmet restaurant is housed in the Corte degli Imperatori at Palazzo Portinari, once the residence of the Salviati family. Here, chef Vito Mollica delights guests with culinary creations that focus on the sea and unusual combinations that come as a pleasant surprise. The ingredients are of the highest quality, from the fragrant home-made bread to the highly distinctive first courses, plus there’s an excellent choice of olive oils (mainly Tuscan and Umbrian).

Set within the palatial surroundings of the Corte degli Imperatori at Palazzo Portinari Salviati, Atto di Vito Mollica offers a calm, sophisticated approach to modern Tuscan dining. The one-star Michelin restaurant is led by chef Vito Mollica, whose menu focuses on elevated regional flavours with particular attention to seafood and subtly unexpected pairings. The dining room, framed by 16th-century frescoes and the sound of a central fountain, provides a sense of historic continuity.

Vito Mollica’s restaurant “Atto” on via del Corso will also be hosting “Club Sandwich Mania”—a challenge for chefs from around Florence to create the best club sandwich. Following the award ceremony, attendees will enjoy a menu celebrating the club sandwich, past and present, as well as curated wines by the Cecchi Family estates. Atto di Vito Mollica is a chic and contemporary addition to Florence’s fine dining scene, housed in the historic Palazzo Portinari Salviati, a Renaissance palace once owned by the family of Dante’s muse, Beatrice Portinari.
