Reviews Summary

Enoteca Pinchiorri is a highly acclaimed three-Michelin-starred restaurant known for its impeccable service and exceptional wine cellar. While many praise the exquisite culinary experience and attentive staff, some find the food to be technically perfect but lacking emotional resonance or inventiveness. Despite the high prices, it's considered a once-in-a-lifetime gourmet experience by many.

"This was an absolutely amazing night. Antonio and the entire team were spectacular.
The food was amazing, and the wine paring was a one of a kind experience. The service went above and beyond. When a glass was half done, they immediately refilled, whether water or wine.
The water menu was a new experience, so we tried 3 types of water. The wine Bible was too large to even read, so we went with the 3 wine pairing where they keep filling your glass.
We chose the a la carte menu, and we're very happy with the selection.
We were able to see the wine cellar, which was a jaw-dropping experience. We WILL RETURN the next time we are in Florence.
Thank you for a lovely evening."

Ronald Asher

"Real classy place that truly lives up to its reputation. We were a bit apprehensive having read some not so favorable reviews but had to give this iconic restaurant a try and they did not disappoint!

While not the most “inventive” cuisine, Pinchiorri just focuses on serving some fantastic, well made classic dishes. The restaurant oozes old school class and glamour, and the staff were so attentive and caring. Never felt that they tried to “up sell” as some reviews mentioned. They gave us such a wonderful anniversary celebration to remember!

Is it expensive? Most certainly, but that’s the price of having such consistency and class over the many years. Really appreciated that they had different levels of wine pairings as well that showcased their huge collection of wines (their wine book needs to be seen to be believed!)"

Ian Wu

"As someone who has had the privilege of dining in some of the world’s most celebrated culinary institutions, from Tokyo to Lima. I approached Enoteca Pinchiorri with high expectations. After all, a three-Michelin-starred legacy restaurant nestled in Florence commands a certain level of storytelling, innovation, and emotional resonance.

There is no doubt: the service was flawless in precision, down to the smallest gesture. But therein lies part of the conflict, it felt mechanical, rehearsed, and somewhat devoid of warmth or genuine connection. The menu, while technically sophisticated and beautifully presented, lacked a narrative. There was no thread pulling me through a journey, no spark that made me pause in wonder.

I kept waiting for that moment, the unexpected element that delights, the clever twist that turns a dish into memory. It came briefly, with a green lasagna accented by lemon mustard, an imaginative and bold pairing that awakened the senses. Unfortunately, that lift arrived too late in the meal to carry the experience.

What left a bitter aftertaste, however, was observing the chef greet only a specific table, locals, perhaps regulars, while the rest of us were overlooked. Having dined at Central in Lima, currently ranked the best restaurant in the world, where the chef personally greeted every guest regardless of background, I couldn’t help but notice the contrast. True hospitality is inclusive.

At €380 per person, I expected more than just flawless execution. I longed for emotion, for a story, for a moment that lingered long after the meal ended. Instead, I left with admiration for the craft, but without the memory of wonder."

Michelin-Starred Restaurants 2019 in Florence – Where Italia

How do you manage to be honoured with three Michelin stars, the highest recognition, which is only achieved by a hundred restaurants worldwide?. In the case of the Enoteca Pinchiorri, it comes from the winning combination of prime quality raw materials, the search for innovation, yet without forgetting the territory’s (great) culinary tradition, obsessive attention to every detail and an unrivalled wine menu, which includes highly prized labels, along with others that are little known but equally interesting. Then we can add the fact that the restaurant is located inside the Eighteenth-century Palazzo Jacometti-Ciofi and that its desserts are a delight for the senses.

Wines at Enoteca Pinchiorri are selected by sommelier Giorgio who pairs grapes to set food menus: try the 7-course Scoperta (Discovery; 150 euro pp plus wine) or 10-course Contemporaneo (Contemporary; 250 euro pp plus wine).
