If there were a prize for the sexiest locale in Florence, La Ménagère (via de’ Ginori 8R) would likely win it hands down… and in a bathrobe. Having closed for several months for a reinvestment and makeover, the classy joint was packed as soon as the weighty industrial-style door reopened. (Seriously, a bouncer was managing the queue the first Sunday.) A bowl of spaghetti with a dusting of bottarga might set you back 18 euro, but this is The Place To Be Seen as the design conscious and Florentines with sprezzatura while away hours in a medley of alluring corners, from the dimly lit games room to the extra-long table and plush bar-side banquettes.

In a slightly secluded street from the main tourist flow, it is a delightful place that attracts from the first glance due to the beauty of the environment, the in-house flower shop, unusual furnishings, the smokehouse in the basement, and the opening from the morning for breakfast: then easy lunch, dinner at the restaurant spread across several spaces with a special atmosphere, and finally the cocktail bar. If desired, you can book the private room or the Chef's table. The evening menu is varied, with inspiration from classic French cuisine and well-executed fusion dishes.

Menagere is open from early morning til past midnight so you could literally spend the whole day in this gorgeous space that blends modern interior design with rustic bare walls and Renaissance arches like only a Florentine location can do!. While most of the space is reserved for lunch and dinner (or the flower and homeware shop) there is a more casual corner where you can hang out with a friend and get some work done and they also have some tables outside where I often find freelancers and students bent over laptops and sipping on coffee or green juice.

Enjoy an al fresco breakfast or lunch indoors on ceviche or a club sandwich; catch up on emails over afternoon tea or head to the buzzing bar for an evening aperitivo before dining in one of the cosy back rooms. An in-house florist and live music sessions provide that little something extra that make this addition a worthy one to our list of the best restaurants in Florence.

This places oozes cool with its crittall windows, arched vaulted ceilings, its mismatched lamp shades and stone flooring. It’s one of those concept stores that gives you the option to buy all manner of wonderful things – whether its some beautiful flowers, music, a pastry and coffee, breakfast or perhaps a more refined evening meal. Whilst we did not eat here, it goes on the list as it is very different from anything else I saw in Florence and is a good place to have a pre-dinner cocktail or a coffee and watch the world go by.

La Ménagère has been up and running in Florence for quite some time now and despite their high prices, it still remains one of the more popular coffee shops in Florence among younger folks. It has a very cool vibe with beautiful plants, flowers and lighting decorating the enormous venu from top to bottom. Keep In Mind: The prices at La Ménagère are indeed higher at other coffee shops in Florence but you are paying for your experience here, not just the coffee.

La Ménagère is a trendy brunch spot housed in a former industrial space, making it ideal for a leisurely breakfast or brunch. With rustic wooden tables, lush plants and an open kitchen, it has a stylish yet cosy vibe that would make a great setting for your next Instagram post. They offer high-quality, homemade and fresh local ingredients crafted into delicious brunch fare like their Ricotta Pancakes and Avocado Toast, ranging from €12.00 to €18.00.

Last but most certainly not least is La Ménagère, this concept cafe, meets flower shop, meets bar, meets fine-dining restaurant is one of the most unique destinations in Florence. It was just recently renovated during the pandemic to give it a facelift, even though it was already beautiful, but now it feels like you’re inside Vogue Living Campaign. They have a great brunch menu, but it’s also a nice cafe to sit and have a coffee or a cup of tea.

This place has the most amazing decor - from the abundant floral arrangements to the many unique lights hanging down from the ceilings, and even a grand piano sitting elegantly in the corner. Everything has been done immaculately to achieve a very spacious, floral and artistic flair. The tables come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, the lighting ambience is warmly dimmed and the menu looks like a piece out of an old newspaper.

A true Italian breakfast is a pastry and coffee at most, but if you’ve planned to see the entire Ufizzi Gallery, Galleria dell’Accademia, and the Duomo all in one day (not recommended), then you’ll need a hearty breakfast to start. La Ménagère is our very favorite place for breakfast or brunch in Florence. The restaurant is gorgeous with a dozen beautifully appointed nooks and crannies to enjoy a bit of privacy.

La Menagere is more of a concept store and cafe, and is in the San Marco neighbourhood and is next to a few great stops: La Gelatiera, an amazing gelato shop, and Palazzo Medici Riccardi. La Menagere is on the expensive side, but such an aesthetic place to have a wander around or even a drink. There were plenty people working there when I visited, so seems like a good place to settle down for a while.

A contemporary, multi-purpose space housed in an ancient palazzo just north of the San Lorenzo market area, La Ménagère offers a little bit of everything. On the drink front, there’s good coffee (iced in summer), smoothies and fresh juices, fine wines, craft beers, and classic and signature cocktails. Breakfast and brunch dishes include poached eggs with hummus, avocado and spinach, and French toast.

Discretely hugged along the north bank Arno River quay, La Menagere Restaurant spills Parisian Art Nouveau inspiration through every interior detail. Floral receptors cradle French café tables in teal and blush bursts while elaborate wallpapered halls feel extracted straight from frilly turn-of-the-century parlors. An petite terrace even provides front row seats to glistening river views.

If you are looking to treat yourself and spend the day at a more upscale cafe, then (and only then) is La Menagere the place to go. This serene restaurant is also home to a boutique flower shop, and the aesthetically pleasing decor with top-notch service is what you pay for. They welcome students during the day to do work, to lunch and socialize, and to enjoy the collective space.

Done out in the retro, shabby-chic style that has recently taken Florence by storm, the huge space is divided into a series of inter-connecting rooms so you never feel overwhelmed.

Located in between the LDM buildings on Via Faenza and Via de Pucci, La Ménagère is the perfect spot for a mid-day coffee break or afternoon study session. The natural light and floral decor make for an ideal backdrop to practice your Italian or study up on wine production. To top it all off, it’s one of the only places in Florence you’ll find avocado toast!

If you want to spend your time in the most insta-worthy cafe in Florence, head over the La Ménagère. Part cafe, part florist, this gorgeous restaurant and cafe is perfect if you just want to sit and enjoy the rustic atmosphere with a cup of coffee. With high ceilings and blooming flowers everywhere, you almost feel as if you’re in a garden or greenhouse.

La Ménagére was one of 2015’s hottest new openings, a concept bar, restaurant and cafe!. Beautifully decorated in rustic-chic, exposed walls, minimalist decor – it looks very NYC west village or Berlin but in the heart of Florence. I really like their cocktails, which are not too pricey and it’s a perfect ‘before dinner’ spot to catch up with friends.

Luckily, during winter this beautiful venue tends to be less crowded and you are likely to be able to grab a seat in the sofa area. They have some cocktails on the menu, but I mainly go there for the Negroni or a very dry rosé (yes, you can drink rosé all year round!). It’s a great place for people watching or just to admire the venue itself.

Enjoy cocktails and tapas at the Instagram-worthy La Ménagère restaurant and bar. The mixologists are total pros, and with their wide selection of spirits you can have your drink exactly how you like it. The tapas are excellent for a light lunch or a romantic dinner, and you have the choice to order the tasting menu or á la carte.

For one of the more Instagrammable cafes in Florence, head to La Ménagère. At this cafe, you can’t help but feel you’re drinking your coffee in an old brick warehouse that is being converted into a garden. Come here for the great coffees (locally-sourced beans) but stay for the super cool decor.

Louie and I also had a fabulous meal with friends at La Ménagère in the San Lorenzo district. La Ménagère contains a restaurant, bistro, florist and concept shop all in a hip rustic setting. The menu appropriately creative and offers something for everyone.

Located near Mercato Centrale, in via de’ Ginori, 8/R, is the chicest café on my list. This is the perfect place to bring your mom or rich aunt if they visit you in Florence. This establishment does everything, from brunch at 8 am to cocktails at 2 am.

It’s a coffee shop by day, serving coffee, breakfast, and lunch. If you’re looking for a break from pizza and pasta or a substantial breakfast, this is the spot. You can also sit, have a cappuccino, and take in the scenery.

Hands down one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Florence. La Menagere does not disappoint when it comes to decor and atmosphere. It's a concept store consisting of a cafe, flower shop, home store, and restaurant.
