The service was great, the waiter is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I think he might have been the owner.
They have a very talented and creative chef. My husband had the carbonara which were made by the chef’s inspiration. Were the best pasta I tasted during all my trip. Seafood pasta also delicious, very strong fish taste. The pasta pommodori were also great! The shrimps also tasty. I didn’t have a taste of eggplant parmigiana but my friend said tasted amazing.
About dessert I was also happy. I totally forgot its name, but the taste was amazing: the shell made from almonds and covered in dark chocolate and filled with an amazing cream. The tiramisu was classic, of course tasty.
They also had a good prossecco, but I limited myself to one glass because was barely 12 in the morning.
If I ever visit Matera I will come back again!"

For a local snack, drop by at Bar Sottozero for a panzerotto (small, half-moon folded dough filled with tomato sauce/mozzarella). For a glass of (local) wine and cheese or aperitivo, I recommend L’Antica Credenza (wine store/bar) opposite the San Francesco di Assisi church.
