Reviews Summary
Silvano Vini e Cibi Al Banco is praised for its cozy, vintage atmosphere and well-executed small, shareable dishes, particularly the Ragù with crostini and Papas Bravas. The extensive wine list is also a strong point, with friendly staff offering helpful recommendations. However, some diners find the food to be unremarkable for the price, and the intimate space can feel cramped and noisy during peak hours, with small tables posing a challenge.
"cozy bistrot spot.
immaculate vibes, with the low lights, vintage forniture and dishes, chill music playing.
menu has a variety of small-to share dishes, perfect if you like to try many options at once.
each dish was tasteful, with a homemade feel to it: favourite was definitely the Ragù with crostini bread.
Wine list is well equipped for all preferences.
Service was perfect, very friendly staff and happy to make recommendations."

"Unpopular opinion- I don’t think the food is anything special. The pumpkin with the cheese on top was very good but if you think about it all the plates are super cheap and nothing special. Bread, eggs, pumpkin, potatoes. I mean 😅
This is not a dinner place. It’s more like tapas and ok-ish. Maybe I’m too harsh. Try it yourself :)
Wine was very good.
Staff was nice.
Place is cool."

"I’ve been here a few times now and have to say that every single drink and dish I’ve tried has been excellent. From desserts, to cocktails, to wine, to sharing plates the quality is excellent… the papas bravas with egg is a must. Can we please petition to replace the popularity of spritzes with sprussà instead? So refreshing and light. For negroni lovers try the “la maison” which is a salty take on on the popular cocktail. My one nitpicky thing is that service could be a bit better but it is rarely great in these types of establishments so I’ll let it go. Try and book because it’s always full!"

Best Restaurants in Milan For Stylish Dining (Updated 2025)
Part bistro, part contemporary osteria in the vibrant neighbourhood of Nolo. Why we love it:Silvano Vini & Cibi al Banco is a must if you’re after straightforward (but excellent) dishes, natural wines, and prices that are below the city average. There’s no stove or induction top in the kitchen here, just a massive oven, an airy and bright space with a charming ‘old Milan’ vibe.
Milan Design Week 2024: A Guide To Top Shows, Stays And Eats
In between shows, pop into Silvano Cibi e Vini, a lively eatery that reflects the multi-ethnic soul of Milan's NoLo neighborhood, cooking up contemporary cuisine with what they've dubbed "sentimental sustainability." A departure from the crowds, Botoi is a quaint neighborhood bistro with only ten seats. Inspired by Parisian "bars à vins," Botoi is all about shared dishes and seasonal products. For a slice of contemporary Milanese flavor, Confine draws in the discerning palate with its rendition of simple pizzas, elevated by a gastronomic twist.
The 20 Best Places To Go for Aperitivo in Milan
Silvano Vini e Cibo – Just off the 1 metro line in NoLo, this contemporary tavern is another go-to for the bourgeois-bohemian locals. Go for something from the thoughtful wine list or the secret house drink that’s sort of like a Negroni but also sort of not. Small plates are the name of the game here, so get a few to pair with your drink, and don’t miss the tartare if they have it.
Best New Restaurants in Milan 2024 Design Week
Backed by Ratanà’s chef Cesare Battisti, Silvano was one of 2023’s buzziest openings. And it didn’t just live up to the hype–it surpassed it. Chef Vladimiro Poma inherited the massive oven from the space’s former inhabitant (a panificio)–there’s no stovetop, so he cooks everything inside it.
