Diners rave about the unique flavor combinations and the attentive, friendly service, especially from those working the bar and open kitchen. "Went into Yapa twice while in Milan, great ambiance, service was spot on, food was amazing, and the drinks were great. If you’re foodie, want something modern and upbeat would highly recommend. Sat at the bar and one of the chefs gave us a breakdown of the dishes and their mixologist made us some drinks off menu! Great for a date night!"

"An amazing experience dining at Yapa, we came with no expectations and walk out with a wow feeling. The set up of the place the tight tables, the bar, the drinks all super nice and different. They offer a Menu in our case fish. The dishes were well curated, explained and tasted super delicious. We were early around 7:30 and we had to move out 9:30pm as the table was taken but we moved to the bar for further drinks. The people were super friendly and attending us very well. Definitely recommended to try this place."

12 best ethnic restaurants in Milan – The Italy Insider
Cooking had always been a love story for Chef Matteo Pancetti, who passionately helms the kitchen at Yapa. Inspired by his past experiences, lands, people, cultures and lifetime journeys (including a time he was cooking with indigenous people in the Andes) Matteo presents a cuisine that blends Mediterranean passion, Asian precision, and South American spirit. A well-studied contamination of flavours: Think tiradito, made with tuna, Sorrento koshu and Taggiasca olives, or ‘tamagoyapa’, a Japanese-style folded omelette made with organic Italian eggs, katsuobushi and Chinese sriracha.
12 best restaurants in Milan for a tasty trip to the capital
Helmed by chef Matteo Pancetti, whose Tuscan nonna ignited his passion for cooking, Yapa manages to be a truly unconventional restaurant in a city where everyone claims to be. The name comes from a fitting Quechua word meaning "that something extra". Bending the rules and blending flavours from Matteo's escapades through Asia and South America, the stunningly beautiful and seasonal dishes intersect with Matias Sarli's artistic cocktails (try the spicy Americano Kimchi for something really special).
