Trattoria Bianca offers an authentic Modenese dining experience with dishes praised for their local flavor and quality ingredients. While many appreciate the cozy atmosphere and attentive service, some reviews mention that the prices are a bit high for the location, and service can occasionally be inconsistent. However, the food, particularly the pasta and local specialties, is often highlighted as exceptional.

"the restaurant was fully empty at 8 pm in the evening. workers have probably iq problem because they were asking reservation for a fully empty restaurant. they didn’t let me in. after i ate my dinner in another restaurant, i checked them around 9 pm and it was still fully empty. if you don’t have respect to yourself, go to this restaurant"

The Hip Local’s Guide to Modena
Trattoria Bianca – Within a restored farmhouse, this casual, family-run, and dachshund-loving trattoria never fails to impress. Here, their recipe book is almost 100 years old, but we can’t seem to grow tired of their classics: ravioli in sfoglia di grano con erba cipollina (wholewheat ravioli with chives), tortelloni with ricotta and spinach, filetto di manzo, and simple sides of buttered spinach or roasted potatoes. Warning: this trattoria is unconventionally closed on the weekend.
When in Modena, Eat Where Chef Bottura Eats
A large, black and white portrait of Nonna Bianca standing with her family greets guests in the entryway of this historic Modenese restaurant Trattoria Bianca. Sporting a white apron and pleasant demeanor, she showcases some of the territory’s classic specialties: a flask of Lambrusco, a leg of prosciutto crudo, and whole hens displayed neatly on the table, where a dark-haired little boy sits. His name is Giuseppe (Beppe) Tartarini — her grandson and third-generation proprietor.

The first dinner could be at Trattoria Bianca, a traditional restaurant in Modena where you can have the best tortellini, tagliatelle, gnocco fritto, salumi and lambrusco. It’s important to taste the traditional dishes of the territory to have a better understanding of how we interpret those dishes in a contemporary way at Osteria Francescana. Second dinner would be Osteria Fran- cescana.
Modena, Italy | Modena travel guide
Trattoria Bianca, Bottura’s top pick for the classic bourgeois cooking of Modena, meanwhile, is a true gem. It’s a friendly place, and the tableside service from the waistcoated staff is a considerable drawcard. The culatello, mortadella and prosciutto are served with gnocco fritto, airy pillows of fried dough, and a preserve of sour cherries from Vignola.
Modena, a Food Lovers Paradise
Trattoria Bianca was quite a distance from our hotel and it was chilly out so we decided to take an uber. When the uber drive heard where we were going, he smiled and nodded and told us to check out the car. Once we got into the restaurant we saw this huge Ferrari in the middle of the dining room.
