What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sfogliatelle Attanasio is a must-visit destination in Naples, renowned for its piping hot, incredibly delicious sfogliatelle pastries. While many rave about the fresh, crispy exteriors and creamy ricotta fillings, some reviews mention instances of rude staff and that the hype might slightly outweigh the flavor for certain items. Despite potential queues, the freshly baked treats are widely considered worth the wait for an authentic Neapolitan experience.
"It was very delicious. It’s a pity that we bought only one sfogliatella per person. We didn’t feel like standing in line again. Therefore, I recommend buying at least two per person. They are warm and freshly made."

"This place is incredibly busy, so if you’re planning to try their pastries, make sure you know the system: collect a token first, head into the shop to pay for your item, then wait for your token number to be called. Don’t just stand in the queue
As for the food honestly, it felt a bit overrated. Apart from the croissant, which was excellent, everything else tasted pretty average. Given the hype and the fact that it’s an Italian bakery with artisan flair, I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavour and uniqueness. Worth a visit for the experience, but don’t expect to be blown away by everything on offer."

"Yes Good buiscuits but the people working there are so RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY!!! how can you give a good review? I guess they don’t care.
I can see how it’s become a popular place but you don’t simply yell at the people what they want to order will stress them so much just to hurry them up, especially when you haven’t ordered that in the past and you don’t know the language also, you don’t throw the chain at someone in their face when they paid, it’s so incredibly rude so I do not recommend this at all. There are plenty of other places serving Sfogliatelle in Naples. Don’t fall for the hype."

If there is one iconic pastry you have to try in Naples and Campania, it’s the sfogliatelle. It was invented here, after all!. And while the name may be hard to say (Italians pronounce it sfoo-ya-del), it goes down much easier especially with a morning cappucino.
