Reviews Summary

Caffè Sicilia is celebrated for its authentic, high-quality Sicilian pastries, especially its iconic cannoli and artisanal gelato. While many rave about the traditional flavors and professional service, some find the experience a bit too touristy with small portions and high prices compared to expectations set by its fame.

"This cafe is a true gem that captures the essence of Sicilian flavor and charm. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere that radiates warmth and authenticity. We indulged in their espresso, which was the perfect balance of rich, smooth, and bold—truly a standout in the world of Italian coffee.

The highlight, however, was the classic cannoli. It was nothing short of perfection—the crispy shell was delicately crunchy, while the ricotta filling was rich, creamy, and subtly sweet, striking the perfect balance. It's clear why this cannoli is renowned, as it feels like a taste of Sicilian tradition in every bite.

If you're in Noto, Cafe Sicilia is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic local flavors in a delightful setting."

"The granita al limone was refreshing and natural.
The brioche with gelato was good but you can find better options.
The cannolo was outstanding.
I was expecting a higher experience considering the famous. I’m nosy so sure if it’s worth the hype.
The good point there was no waiting time.
The service was quick but I had to stand up three times, asking menú, asking a knife and the check; but extra charged “for service”."

"Nice place with seating inside and outside. The decoration is refined and original decoration. The inside seating in an air-conditioned room is convenient, especially in a very hot day. We got granita tasting trio and ricotta pistachio gelato. They were tasty. You can taste the authentic products. We also got for takeaway Cassatina and Pistaccio e arancia. They were not good ! The Cassatina was extremely sweet and Pistaccio e arancia was ??? The service is very average… however the lady in charge of pastries and sweet is very nice and professional."

Yet people come here – to Caffè Sicilia in Noto, a small, sublimely beautiful city in the south of Sicily – from all over the world to taste these things, to rhapsodise and obsess over them, and perhaps to catch a glimpse of the magician who, in the kitchen in the basement, conjures them into being. The simplicity and straight-forwardness and elegance of that menu is, for me, an image of all that is marvellous about Noto.

Noto, a gorgeous baroque town in East Sicily

Caffe Sicilia is a traditional place, offering a variety of pastries and most popular for its granita (a Sicilian semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavourings, normally served with a brioche). The staff is friendly and the pastries homemade. Ricotta Gelato and Ricotta Cannolo are also recommended.
