What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Antica Cantina is highly praised for its exceptional gluten-free options and traditional Umbrian cuisine, with many diners highlighting unique dishes like the pear carpaccio and truffle pasta. The charming atmosphere and friendly staff contribute to a positive experience. However, some visitors note that the service can be quite slow, potentially detracting from the overall enjoyment if time is limited.
"The food here was the best in our visit to Italy! The artichokes were awesome, and the pear antipasto was something we wished we could have tried again. There were three of us, and we had wine with our meal. Price seemed reasonable. Yum!"

"We really enjoyed the food there, especially with most items that are gluten-free. The menu is not big but the food is really good. I specifically enjoyed the triples. It was cooked really well. The waitress was really patient in explaining the menu and making sure we knew what would be getting.
I really wanted to give it five stars but the service was so slow. We would love to try all the gluten-free deserts but could not bear the possibility of waiting for one hour for the deserts to come. We even walked up to pay to save time. It is a shame as the restaurant was not even busy!"

"Great place with homemade GF pasta and bread. Traditional Umbrian dishes. Everything delicious. The house wine was really good, too. Run by a small team of women. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
We saw multiple people rush in and say “we only have 20 minutes.” In that case, better to grab a kebab down the road. You’re in a Città Slow, so set aside a couple of hours for lunch, especially when ordering multiple courses. Reservations are recommended."

Unique experience, we went for lunch on May 1st, although the place was packed with people, the owner took care of everything down to the smallest detail, welcomed customers in an exceptional way, immediately responded to our needs as we have a celiac child, the cleanliness and accuracy of the service is fantastic, I highly recommend it...unique and unrepeatable dishes for both us and the child, we will definitely return. Again thank you thank you thank you.

85 euros for four first courses, a miserable appetizer and two desserts, it's really too much!. Really slow and uncoordinated service. Linguine with artichokes overcooked and tasteless and also broken Ravioli with ricotta and spinach covered in butter Gluten-free bread brought to the table with a truly terrible flavor!
