"You know when people talk about the life-changing meal they had that one time in Italy blablabla, yeah well this is the place and the carbonara is the meal. You may want to fast for a month before you order it because it is huuuge. Honestly. It's enormous and so good (image shows one portion split on two plates). As you're sitting in this little cave of a restaurant you can see a tiny lady through the kitchen window making it in the back. The Chef. The service is very nice too. The lighting is flourescent and unflattering but you're not here to look good, you're here to have your life changed."

Mezza Luna is no exception with some outstanding dishes severed by wonderful people in a very "homey" restaurant setting. Nonna would be happy here.
The carbonara was very rich, delicious and a fantastic breakfast since I had to take half back to the hotel, it was sooooo much food!
This was our last restaurant to visit in Orvieto and we were so happy to have made it in with no reservation. The staff was very generous and graceful to our needs. It will be a joy to revisit this restaurant when we move to our house in February next year.

"Wonderful literal hole in the wall. This restaurant was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. Their signature dish is carbonara, but our waiter suggested an antipasti and a few pastas to share. A+ excellent experience. We arrived right at opening and were seated for lunch without a reservation. The place was packed by 1:00."
