Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise Corona Trattoria for its exceptional Sicilian seafood, warm family-run hospitality, and outstanding curated wine list. The fresh ingredients and expertly prepared dishes create a memorable dining experience. While some found the squid ink pasta slightly underwhelming, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the restaurant as a must-visit in Palermo.

"The best place we went to in Palermo, where a dinner can last 3 hours and no one minds. Sophisticated yet accessible. We felt very welcomed by the warm people and cooled by delicious wine."

Jacqueline Zeisloft

"Corona Trattoria in Palermo is a must-visit if you’re after a trendy, upscale dining experience with a cool, welcoming vibe. The interior is sleek and modern, creating a fresh backdrop for what is truly a family-run gem. The staff, including the junior managers (the owners’ sons), are super friendly and articulate—they even break down the menu in English, which makes the whole experience that much smoother.
I dove into the tempura-style artichokes and seafood salad loaded with calamari, and they absolutely nailed it. For the mains, the fritto misto, black ink pasta, and a hearty minestrone with langoustine all delivered incredible flavors, and don’t even get me started on the desserts—they’re a perfect sweet finish to a fantastic meal."

Fabian Romen

Skip all the tourist traps, this is where you want to be. With good food & good people! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town! 5/5!!"

The 16 Best Restaurants In Palermo - Palermo

This spot is run by a local Sicilian couple and has the feel of a high-end trattoria with the charm of a small family-run business, and the attention to detail usually reserved for generations spent in the service industry. They only use seafood that comes fresh off the boat in Terrasini near the Gulf of Castellammare, and the wine list, curated by the owners’ son, includes a solid selection of natural and traditional Sicilian bottles. The pasta al nero di seppia with cuttlefish and bottarga is the dish you need to order, but proceed with caution: Sicilian cuttlefish ink pasta has an intense black sauce that’ll stain everything, including your mouth.

Spatafora and Sarris both recommend this family-run trattoria for seafood, great service, and a curated Sicilian wine list. “Always listen to the recommendations from the staff; the specials of the day are often the best dishes, like pasta with cured tuna bottarga, lathered with super rich, black cuttlefish ink,” Sarris says. “Leave the wine pairings to Orazio Corona,” Spatafora adds.
