What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
I Segreti del Chiostro is highly praised for its massive, freshly filled cannoli and the unique experience of dining in a beautiful monastery courtyard. Reviewers love the traditional convent recipes and the authentic Sicilian flavors. However, one reviewer noted a significant disappointment with stale pastries, indicating potential inconsistency in quality.
"I’ve come back every day as their pastries are incredible, my absolute favourite throughout our travels in Sicily. Added bonus eating the pastries in the beautiful monastery courtyard. Most ppl get the cannoli which is definitely recommended, but also try the other pastries esp the Minne di Sant'Agata which looks plain on the outside but great variety of flavours and textures on the inside."

"Stumbled upon this hidden gem and it’s such a delight! They offer amazing cannoli and a variety of other sweet treats, all made fresh and bursting with flavor. I paired mine with a strong black coffee, and it was the perfect combination. The spot itself is tucked away in a charming area, giving it a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger. Everything about it – the food, the coffee, and the atmosphere – is top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a little sweet escape!"

"You must visit this hidden gem when in Palermo if you have a sweet tooth. You can easily miss this place which is located within the St. Catherine’s Monastery. There is only a small sign and you just have to follow the crowd through the inside of a museum. There is a ticket system in place to get in and buy your pastry of choice. The canoli are fresh and crispy on the outside and it tastes very different sitting underneath the orange trees in the monastery courtyard next to the shop."
