What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Orchidea Marina is praised for its luxurious setting, friendly service, and beautiful seaside location. While many enjoy the seafood and Italian dishes, some reviews mention inconsistencies in flavor and execution of certain items, alongside concerns about pricing. Overall, it's considered a good option for the area, especially for its ambiance and attentive staff.
"Good restaurant with a nice decoration.
The food is of quality, the Pizza pretty tasty.
Service needs a little push when the tables are full, so don't hesitate to call them by, waiting might take time. They do a great job, but it's difficult to overview the place.
The fish smelled and tasted pretty good.
The Pizza with "Salciccia" and Porcini mushrooms was excellent.
Children can play with babyfoot."

"There are 4 major points in my review:
First: the calamari were not peeled before cooking, so they were unevenly cooked and mostly chewie, plus the batter could not stick to the calamari, so it was just here and there
Second: I ordered the beef steak, which was bitter to taste and had a rotten acidic smell, they exchanged it for a second which was good, but they cooked it medium-rare the second time, after the first I asked medium-well done
Third: the tiramisu cream was not fluffy or at least close to the traditional recipe. It felt more like a thick butter cream with some coffee-dipped sponge biscuits and a ton of cocoa powder, so not a hint of a fresh tiramisu taste
Lastly fourth: they have chocolate souffle in the menu, but when they brought it up, it was a classic lava cake, more like a half-done brownie with a crunchy exterior and served by itself, so that was not a souffle, not even close to anything related
They also charge 2.50 euros per person just for sitting at the table, which is more expensive than the rest of the local restaurants, and the table we were sat at, had no light, and it was near an old, oxidated pipe on the wall
I don't reccomend this restaurant, the price/quality of the food is not worth it.
P.S. the only good food was the sauté seashells, that is it. They even made us a bescuit-like pizza...what kind of pizza is that in italy"

"One of the few and best restaurants in the area. The best thing you can do is come eat here and then go visit the tower of s. Tommaso right afterwards. This place is luxurious designed and has a lot of young people working there. The service is fast and gets always delivered with a smile. Usually there is no wait, as the place is very big and you can sit both inside as outside.
The only small downside is that the prices have changed and are a bit more expensive than in the photos posted some time ago."
