Reviews Summary
Orma Roma offers an exceptional fine dining experience, lauded for its meticulously crafted dishes and a unique fusion of Italian and South American flavors. Diners praise the warm and attentive service, with special mention of staff members like Simone and Lorenzo. The personal touch of the chef preparing dishes in front of guests adds to the memorable atmosphere. While overwhelmingly positive, some reviews suggest a greater focus on food innovation over ambiance, and occasional messiness in eating certain dishes.
"Dining here was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of extraordinary—every dish was meticulously crafted and thoughtfully presented, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors with a twist. You truly have to appreciate fine cuisine to understand the depth and complexity of each dish's flavors.
It's no surprise that Orma Roma has been awarded a Michelin star, which is entirely justified.
The staff, Simone and Lorenzo, among others, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Their warm hospitality and professionalism made us feel right at home and truly enhanced our dining experience. The chef was remarkably humble and him introducing one of the dish and preparing it in front of you added a personal touch that made the evening even more special.
If you're in Rome and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend Orma Roma. This restaurant sets the bar high for culinary excellence and outstanding service."

"Great service.
Amazing moment. We consider our experience to be the best in recent times. Elegant and welcoming service. Attentive and professional service. Amazing food. If you want to spend some money on a transformative meal - this is the one. You won't regret it."

"A nice experience in a Michelin star restaurant, with a heavy Latin American influence. But TLDR I'd say they focused too much on the experience and not enough in the food.
The restaurant looks very contemporary and photogenic. We start off in the front for amuse bouche before we are brought to the chef counter to taste another snack (scallop). I've never understood this tactic of being shuffled around but oh well.
There are many courses of mostly small plates, and lots of explaining of each item. They have their own local farm supplier and so on. While the dishes were mostly well executed, some were a bit salty, and none had a wow factor for us. And also perhaps not enough fancy ingredients to justify the price of 190 euro pp. There was a Wagyu rice towards the end but we found the meat a bit chewy.
Service was ok, but there's a few dishes that were a bit messy to eat and would have appreciated wipes or something."

The food pays homage to Italian recipes from across the country, like candele alla genovese: hearty, al dente tubes of pasta smothered in a slow-cooked, barbecued beef and onion sauce. Local vegetables shine with fresh cheese and herbs, and desserts highlight seasonal fruits paired with more cheese, like persimmon granita with stracchino.
