Reviews Summary
Panificio Bonci is celebrated for its high-quality, creative pizzas and baked goods, with many praising the exceptional ingredients and unique flavors like organic chicken with artichoke potatoes. However, some diners find the prices to be on the higher side, and a few have experienced issues with undercooked toppings or excessive greasiness, leading to a mixed experience regarding value and execution. Despite these criticisms, the bakery remains a popular spot, especially for its signature pizza bianca and pastries, though managing expectations on cost and consistency is advisable.
"I went to this place three days in a row and might go again. First day i had the organic chicken and the artichoke potato side. It was divine! Please try it! Unfortunately i was so busy eating i couldn’t take a photo of it. Second day i had a suppli and small pizzaz. The third day i had the meatballs and artichoke potatoes again. Also was good but the first day! I get hungry thinking about it!"

"Nice pizza but my partner and I were expecting a bit more. Tasty enough but did not wow us.
We found better pizzas in Rome but worth the visit, just to try Bonci.
Had the one with Rabbit and Potatos, did not pleased our palate while we tried the ham and cheese and it was the best flavour we tried in shop.
Also the shop does not display many seats to seat down and eat I have seen there were like 4/5 seats only!!!"

"Expensive but soooo good (we paid €17 for the pizze in the photo). The ingredients they use are to die for. And the pizzetta is so crunchy and yummy. Go here if you want to treat yourself"

In addition to Pizzarium, Gabriele Bonci has a panificio in the same neighborhood, serving equally fantastic pizza alongside sweets that will definitely spoil your appetite for dinner (speaking from experience). The pastries range from plump maritozzi to ricotta and sour cherry tarts, but the standout is Bonci’s oven-baked tiramisù—a moist mascarpone cake with a hint of coffee, encased in a chocolatey, cakey crust. The small shop also sells excellent loaves of grainy bread and high-quality bottles of olive oil.

The pizza con mortadella (or mortadella sandwich) is a perfect, savory bite and is always available, while the pizza con porchetta (or roasted pork sandwich) is an occasional daily special worthy of a Trans-Atlantic flight in its own right.

Rome's Best Pizza
A ten-minute walk from Pizzarium, Gabriele Bonci’s eponymous bakery (opened in 2012) serves pizzas in various forms besides the teglia (sheet pan) style that Pizzarium is known for, alongside spectacular breads and pastries. Their teglia style is joined by pizzette (small, almost bite-size pizzas) made either from puff pastry or oil-enriched pizza dough (a perfect savory aperitivo snack) . But the real standouts are the sandwiches (called pizze, not panini!) filled with glorious mortadella or house-made porchetta between fragrant slices of spongy pizza bianca, i.e. plain pizza dough baked into bread form for sandwiches.
