Adara told me that this restaurant, Osteria RossoDiVino, was perfectly ‘divine’. I couldn’t resist the pun because the name of the restaurant ‘DiVino’ means ‘of wine’ but also ‘divine’ in Italian. I haven’t had the chance to experience it myself, but I wanted to include the information (from a most trusted authority, hehe) in case you make it there before I do!

Enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch (or dinner!) at an outdoor table on an intimate staircase just 10 meters away from Corso Umberto (the main drag in Taormine). While tasting local delicacies, you'll enjoy a splendid view of the medieval Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano, a few steps from the restaurant.

We went here for dinner and loved how the restaurant itself was tucked away off the beaten path with outdoor tables scattered along the square. Highly recommend the Filetto di Tonno alla Puttanesca and Gnocchi de Patate con Gamberi e Crema di Pistacchio.

For something less rarified but no less delicious, try Osteria RossoDiVino in central Taormina. It offers superb, straightforward classics such as seared tuna or anchovy tempura.

Osteria Rosso di Vino - the single best restaurant of our Sicily trip. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't remember what I had, except that it was exceptionally delicious.
